this is my yard skunk cabbage. it took up residence in a small dip under a white pine that floods in the spring.
I love it so freaking much.

New plant! I think it must be wild ginger?? I have zero memory of this but according to records, 2 years ago I had cleared out bittersweet in this spot and then planted ginger by seed in the emptied space. Found more of these sprouting than bittersweet sprouts! #nativeplants
