It's library sale season!
If you've never been to your city's library sale, it's a realllllllly good year to go and spend some money to support the "friends of" charity that likely supports your library :)
An almost comically stylish woman walks down a sidewalk, back to the camera in a backless mini dress, holding a pineapple in a transparent plastic bag.
I'm reading a travel magazine from 1992 and I need to know everything about her
Whyyyyy
Look at this fuckin weird photoshop monstrosity Netflix is using for Pride & prej. His eyes are so weird, stop.

Don't go. Any of you.
Hell yeah :) Proud to have a Maggie Rudy section on my kid lit shelf (you're between between Van Allsburg and Sendak, so good company).

More folks should watch Borgman. It's such a fun, gorgeously shot little puzzle.

A screenshot from letterboxd for The Final Destination (2009). It says: 5 MINUTES IN, THEY USE A DOLPHIN SOUND FOR TIRES SQUEALING, I SWEAR THIS IS REAL.
Tonight was one of the only times in my life that I've come close to throwing up from laughing. I needed this. Thank you, The final destination.
With everything happening right now, it is quite literally the best time to get involved in your local CSA.
Buy a share, meet your local farmers, get ready for a spring and summer full of locally grown food.

The Tik tok ban went into effect while I was watching this tonight. The glimpses of MySpace (my first of now several social media communities that were replaced with something worse and more insidious) made me smile wistfully. #filmsky

It's should be criminal how hard it is to see Kiyoshi Kurasawa movies in America. I am over here waiting to give my money to any film distributor that wants it to let me watch any of the THREE FILMS he released this year.

I was thinking "A complete Unknosferatu" but I like this more. Merry Babyratu, every one.
Yes, I think you're right. Which is a shame because when done right it can take very little screen time to achieve, it's not like anything necessarily has to be sacrificed.
pompous Gimli is yapping Gandalf's ear off, Legolas is...also there. There is so much character here in just a few seconds of a transitional scene. Why is this kind of moment of character construction absent in large budget blockbusters now?
🎥 Gladiator 2 has so many of the same problems with character development rampant in studio movies over the last 20 years.
Whenever I think of this issue, I think of the scene in Fellowship. The group is camped, Boromir is teaching the Hobbits how to use their swords, Aragon looks on smiling (1/2)
