Horror is such an important outlet to process trauma and confront our fears, and the Horror Not Hate project gives marginalized voices a platform to share some much needed catharsis through creativity.
I hope you'll check it out & share! #horrorsky

This is such a good point. We need to document what's happening now for the future, because we can't trust the spin.
Current powers want to erase and rewrite history, and the only way to combat their lies is to flood with truth. More physical media.

Eeee! Silly aloe, it's snowy outside!
Looks like a happy plant to me. :)
We've got to Home Alone all of Minneapolis against ICE
Hoping I'll finish this rewrite (did I mention I got another one? Days after the last. Is that a good sign? π€π€) in time for the Animal Crossing update, I could really use a braindead weekend, and shaking island trees and chatting up a hippocampus sounds perfect.

Q: Whatβs better than listening to me poorly explain the concept of SECRET DEFENDERS to screenwriters Ian Springer and Jeff Kaplan?
A: Listening to screenwriters Ian Springer and Jeff Kaplan talk about what it was like writing FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS.
Episode drops 1/13/26. More info below
I know it's ridiculous, but I really don't like how the proper spacing looksβ I like how *I* do it. Like a comma, or a broken thought. That's how it works in my head. Everything else looks β Wrong.
But by golly, I'll do it. This is not a hill I will die on!
I never realized how much I use the em dash until a producer asked that I double check my spacing across my entire script.
They were right, btwβ I am grammatically inconsistent.
(See what I did there? That's incorrect. You want a space on either side β Orβno spaces.)
The goal of a successful logline is to pitch your script in the timeframe an escalator needs to reach its destination.

Just discovered Pickle Surprise and the genius of Tom Rubnitz (rip, gone too soon)
I dont want to to be greedy and take all the good 2026 luck... jk yes I do π€π€π€π€
I've been clawing at the industry door for 10 years, I'm ready to be an overnight success!
I submitted my new draft to producers, and I want to barf-- Don't be concerned, this happens every time. I love the script! It may be the best thing I've ever written.
Time to go stare at a wall until I find purpose again (and maybe catch up on my unread email π¬). #scriptsky
Just found this line in a script I wrote; "[she was] wheeling from the burn."
Producers read this draft. #scriptsky
So, uh... Where do we stand on feature page count lately? #scriptsky
Zach Cregger's WEAPONS was what? 118ish? Hell, SINNERS was reportedly 167 pages!
What do we think some asshole nobody like me can get away with? ππ
If I had a nickel for every time I thought this script was impossibleβ
I'd have a shit-ton of nickels.
I was feeling a little extra shit because I worked so hard to cut pages on this script, and I'm up 5 pages on this rewrite-- then my partner pointed out that means I wrote 5 pages this week, and I'm like
A very cute calico cat with a weird butt (sorry, no tail for modesty), posing with her catnip rope
The same cute calico cat looking relatively normal with her handmade port wine cheese toy (full of catnip)
That calico cat a wild blur with her tongue out, having torn some fuzz off her homemade catnip toy
I got more rewrite notes from producers right as the holidays and a nasty head cold swept through my house, but Dinah Dinglebottom had a merry christmas #caturday

Back to the Future in classic Polly Pocket form, there's even a tiny DeLorean. McFly is cute as hell. (You can buy it at Creations.Mattel.com)
This is a confusing fusion of my childhood, and I like it.
Submitted my script to big, important people.
Relieved it's out of my hands, but as a secret control freak, I'm also *slightly* losing my mind. You know how it is.
Luckily, December is a hectic month, and I have plenty of distractions!

when someone tells me not to use em dashes because AI uses em dashes
I can't easily juggle multiple projects at once, and while I am able to orient myself with landmarks, my sense of direction is pretty shit.
I like your theory! I never would've put those talents together, but I think there could be something to it!
A photo of a strangely pale, meaty aspic jelly, on a bed of lettuce and shrimp, slathered with cocktail sauce, and erupting with Lovecraftian crab legs and various skewered pickles.

Rim a michalada.
Maybe rim a mango smoothie for the kiddo (unless you're a cool/careless parent)
A tight excerpt from my script reads "The mug in Mom's hand trembles. She won't look at Maya. MAYA (cont'd) It's as if he just vanished... Into thin air... That seems to happen a lot out here." "Into thin air" is highlighted. It's the working title of the script.
Ahhh, she said it, she said the title!
Does everyone call it out when it happens in film, or just my goofy household? #filmsky #scriptsky
Silly past-me.
*NOW* I'm in the home stretch. Rewrite done, I'm 4 pages up (boo!), hoping to carve it down with a quick edit pass before sending it off to producers after Thanksgiving.
Apart from the page count, I'm super happy with it! Tentatively optimistic! #scriptsky
