There is a lovely piebald deer that frequents the farm. I always do a double take when I see her, thinking a goat got out of the pasture. ππ¦π

Two more kids born within 5 minutes of each other! Both bucklings. π Tallula gave me exactly what I asked, but he was supposed to be a she! π Both were textbook births and everyone is doing well so I canβt really complain. ππππ #kiddingseason #farmlife #nigeriandwarfgoats
Update: Andi gave birth to a huge single buck kid yesterday evening. This little dude is already causing trouble. His head was curved back so I had to use the kid puller. It took almost an hour to get him in position and out into the world. They are both doing well! πππ #kiddingseason #farmlife
Andi is kicking off kidding season! I hope they arrive before the temperature drops this evening. These babies are Red Bullβs first kids. Super excited! πππ

Beautiful! Barred owl?
Yes, they are a wonderful breed. These are the first Iβve had. I wanted some for a while too and found the perfect opportunity. They should start laying soon. I hope to hatch some in spring and add more to the flock. π

Winter oyster mushrooms! Yay! #mushrooms #forage #fungi
These are all does. One is polled, the others are disbudded. I milk them and make soap, lotion, cheese, etc. We also process a few wethers for meat each year. We have about 18 does and 4 bucks with our next batch of kids due in a month. They are so much fun! π
Everyone is enjoying the warmer temperatures and sunshine. The goat babies are almost two months old and are so happy to be outside! πππ #nigeriandwarfgoats #goats #farmlife #goatbabies
