Lovely - if distinctly “undulating” - #Parkrun in the forest this morning with @walking-class-hero.bsky.social, sort of vaguely on the way to Devon.

Lovely - but hot - walk today on the #LondonLoop from Uxbridge to Harefield West with @walking-class-hero.bsky.social
Exeter excursion- finally made it to the lido while @walking-class-hero.bsky.social watched the football and then 14 Iced Bears played a stellar set at The Cavern including Sure To See, Hayfever, Cut and Balloon Song - what a delight!
Thames Path is diverted on north bank nr Putney Bridge because Willowbank Wharf by the Swan Draw Dock is closed for flood defence improvements. Diversion is signed on local roads. Info 👇

Millions of people walk past Cleopatra’s Needle on the Victoria Embankment in London. This 21m high obelisk is truly ancient, and the oldest monument on the Thames Path National Trail. Read on to discover its journey to London 👇

Walking and running the Thames Path in Greenwich is a great way of being close to the River Thames.

3rd gig of the week ! me & @clarewadd.bsky.social went to the Hampton Hub (another new venue for both of us) to see the marvellous Slim Chance - as good as ever but miss the smilin' face of Steve Simpson
One of the great things about living in south west London is the ability to go and see the wonderful Slim Chance at a variety of local venues. First time at Hampton Hub Club tonight for me and @walking-class-hero.bsky.social - and here they are playing The Poacher. 2025 gig 12 if my maths is right.
Excellent visit to Crystal Palace subway, the Cordoba of SE19, with @walking-class-hero.bsky.social this morning. It’s open very rarely but well worth making plans to go.
Photo showing some bare winter trees contrasted against a cloudy white sky. They are surrounded by grass, mostly short and green, but with some brown. In the distance a path cuts across the image, and there are more trees beyond.

We had an enjoyable walk last Wednesday despite the mud around Happy Valley and Chaldon church. Dry for once. It was great to get served quick enough to have a pub lunch at The Fox together. #Ramblers #walking

last night it was off to Omeara with @clarewadd.bsky.social to see @lukesitalsingh.bsky.social - a new venue for me (bit cold inside) because Nothing Stays the Same
Photo showing a bare winter tree amid a woodland clearing. The tree is surrounded by a kind of brownish long grass. There is a wooden bench next to the tree, and some darker brown plants of some kind. In the distance a thick line of trees is visible. The sky is pale blue with a fair degree of cover by light clouds.

Incompetence in Washington puts every American at risk, no matter how you voted. No one should be happy that the DOGE team - the same folks who randomly published classified U.S. security information online today - wants access to your bank account & Social Security numbers.
yep & I was there but not swimming

Mirrored Daughters band at Bally rehearsal studio.
All 5 members of Mirrored Daughters (two Leaf Librarians, a @firestations.bsky.social, a Marlody and a Hannah cellist) made it into @ballystudios.bsky.social today, just in time for a gig on 26/02.
Album out via @fikarecordings.com on 21/02
Photo showing a long red bricked market building beside a dock. The dock water is fairly still and shows a reflection of the market. Some tower blocks loom tall behind the market, and those are reflected too. The sky is quite blue with a small amount of cloud, and a little yellow haze on the horizon as this photo was taken not long after sunrise.

A grey grit track between green fields leading to small copse.
Brown beech leaves on the ground. Bare trees teaching up to a grey sky.
Path through sheep pasture going downhill to a cottage with the River Gade unseen behind.
Bleak sleet swept field. Hills in the distance. Two bare trees stand together.
Hemmar2 #SlowWays between Hemel Hempstead and Markyate. Lovely, despite the sleet, which could be seen in advance, rolling in over the hills.
