I turned it into a shirt after a few requests, and it sold beyond my wildest expectations. But it basically broke even because (a) it was never about the money, and (b) I thought pricing it at $17.89 to commemorate the Bill of Rights was meaningful—but also a rookie mistake. (4/6)
I work in progressive politics as a designer, and the original art was a heartfelt expression of outrage that the Trump administration was targeting public broadcasting—and Sesame Street in particular—because of Donald Grump, a character from the ‘90s that parodied him. (3/6)
