Saying that FFVII is your favorite Final Fantasy game because it was a Technical marvel of it's time is like saying your favorite Pokemon game is Diamond version because Pikachu is in it. Like how most Pokemon games have Pikachu in it, most FF games are a Technical Marvel of some kind.

I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.

And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.
