Their closing message to Indiana: change your maps to artificially benefit the President's political party or 'roads will not be paved' as punishment.

They are openly saying this.

Who would want to live in a country that works like that?

Donald Trump threatened supermajority GOP Indiana with eliminating all federal funds for the state if they didn’t bow down to his demented old ass.

Indiana Senate Republicans didn’t bow. Donald Trump’s time is up.

Have you heard about AWS's new DynamoDB multi-attribute keys? I've written a blog post explaining what they are and why they matter.

Is flat-rate CloudFront worth it?

Is flat-rate CloudFront worth it? It *really* depends on what's important to you. Do you care more about cost or availability?

🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read.

He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords

Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug into his testimony:

I love it when email distribution groups get messed up and you have over 300 people replying all to a group of 125k. I sense training in their future.

Strategic. You keep using that word... I do not think it means what you think it means.

Cross-account full table copy options for Amazon DynamoDB - AWS Prescriptive GuidanceCross-account full table copy options for Amazon DynamoDB - AWS Prescriptive Guidance An overview of seven approaches for performing full table copy of Amazon DynamoDB tables across AWS accounts.

I'd look at the S3 capabilities or AWS Backup based on the account setup. I think AWS Backup support is there with the AWS CDK, not sure about Terraform. The AWS APIs could for sure set up the S3 functionality. There is some AWS Prescriptive Guidance on the topic: docs.aws.amazon.com/prescriptive...

If something feels "off" stop and don't send the money. Follow up with the person outside of social media. And please, have two-factor authentication set up on your social media and do not use SMS methods. They are not secure.

Please be on the look out for scams this time of year. One of my family members just got hit by one where they used AI to mimic a friend's face in a call and then "had call issues" and no audio came through. Their friend's Facebook account had been hacked.

If you have different accounts representing different environments, set them up consistently! Use IaC to help ensure environments are set up the same.

I just got off a 4 hour call that could have been avoided if security groups had been set up consistently.

You know the meeting is over when Teams suddenly drops audio from the other participant. 🤣 Luckily, I can do a little lip reading, and we finished things out smoothly. Thanks Teams...

AWS Lambda supports Amazon S3 as a failed-event destination for asynchronous and stream event sources - AWS Discover more about what's new at AWS with AWS Lambda supports Amazon S3 as a failed-event destination for asynchronous and stream event sources

I've been experimenting with AWS FIS and have been impressed with what it can enable. You may have heard of Chaos Monkey, but there is more than that to chaos engineering. Check out my post, where I dig into FIS Lambda support.

Well, that's a new one. "We're not using SAFe, we're not even using dangerous." Chaos is the only word left to describe how this particular project is being run. #softwareEngineering #agile
