I think social media feels a big shallow these days. I have been feeling increasingly overwhelmed by all the Ai content, and "crap" out there, and have been avoiding sharing things. And on here, I think I am still finding my feet.

Today, I watched some African Penguins being released back into the wild at Stony Point Penguin Colony.

These birds are critically endangered, with only about 8300 breeding pairs left. This was a special day.

Black and white photo of praying mantis nymph, likely the South African praying mantis. The mantis sits holds to the surfave of a broad leave, and the background positioned to the right is blurred.

Early this year I had the privelage relocating a dozen baby praying mantis from our living room couch (I assumed they hatched nearby), into our garden. This baby I put on the surface of a canna leave, a surface right next to thick bushes which would provide ample cover.
