I've also previously thought that with the rise of right wing parties in Germany lately, the chances of Wolfenstein games being banned in Germany not for any nazi symbolism but because they might be considered "leftist propaganda" some day, are honestly more than zero.
I'm beginning to think for a lot of Americans in the past, nazis in media were a perfect scapegoat to divert from their own racism through USA's history. To be the heroic good guy without acknowledging your own history.
But those blinders have come off with time and doesn't work like that anymore.

I think it feels like that also because in the middle of the pandemic everyone was online extra much. I've been in a handful of communities that were big and very active during those years but eventually just fizzled out.
