If you miss half of the labs, I have nothing to grade.
I have a lot on my plate right now, and I cannot hold the hands of every student.
This is why I have been very open about allowing make up labs for students who have mitigating circumstances.
We all need grace sometimes. I’m not a mind reader
I legit do not understand students who wait until the 11th hour to talk to me about fixing their grade.
I promote an open communication environment and most of my students respond to that.
I even try to reach out to ask them if something‘s wrong.
