Today marks 10 years since fish palaeontologist Peter Forey died. He wrote more than 120 papers & was renowned for his work on teleost fishes & coelacanths. I was fortunate to cross over with him when I first started @nhm-london.bsky.social & he invited me to co-author one of his last papers.

Thank you, Jack! Zerina is not on here, but I will pass on the message. It's been great having you in the collection and watching your career prosper over the years. I'm glad we could help in a small way.

New paper & a new shark! Hello Pararhincodon torquis πŸ‘‹πŸΌ

Thank you to @euphanerops.bsky.social for inviting me to be part of the project.

It highlights the importance of museum collections & looking at specimens with different analysis.
