Hot take: AI’s biggest danger to jobs is actually not because it will be able to replace people, but because companies need to find budget from somewhere to throw in the giant money pit that is “pivoting to AI” and salaries are it

Dire Wolf is washing its hands of the Cortex Prime #TTRPG KS in favor of moving forward. I have mixed feelings, but they are not wrong about their responsibilities to a KS that they never saw any money from.

Author Paul Park, a white man with glasses and short hair, sits in a bright red leather armchair beside a fireplace.
Cover: The Outspoken and the Incendiary: interviews with radical speculative fiction writers by Terry Bisson
Last night I saw Paul Park read at Williams college. He was wonderful and spoke movingly of Terry Bisson, friend and editor to us both. It was such a pleasure. @pmpress.bsky.social

Happy 4:20 to those who celebrate. I’m going to go get baked in the Haight. Maybe listen to Some ‘Dead and ponder mortality…
(If I got angry at myself for being angry I would be angry constantly and I wouldn’t have time to think about anything else.) (Wait, I think I am angry constantly. That might explain a lot.)
it's funny how this is just marxism but if you say it like this the people who get scared of marxism seem like morons at best and willfully divisive at worst
Infowars/Onion combo logo in rainbow saying “I support the onion’s hostile media takeover.”
It’s finally happened. After 18 months. Finally, a media merger you can root for.
With the help of the Sandy Hook families, The Onion has reached a long-awaited deal to take over InfoWars.
We've enlisted the help of @timheidecker.bsky.social, who will be InfoWars' Creative Director.
Please stand by for more.
The Onion plans to turn Infowars into a comedy site with satirical echoes of the fringe conspiracy theories that Mr. Jones is known for. Tim Heidecker, one of the comedians behind “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, has been hired to serve as “creative director of Infowars.” He said he initially plans to parody Mr. Jones’s “whole modus operandi.” Mr. Heidecker has been working on his impression of Mr. Jones. But eventually, when that joke gets old, Mr. Heidecker said that he hoped to turn Infowars into a destination for independent and experimental comedy. “I just thought it would be just a beautiful joke if we could take this pretty toxic, negative, destructive force of Infowars and rebrand it as this beautiful place for our creativity,” Mr. Heidecker said in an interview. During a recent trip to Philadelphia, he traveled to the Liberty Bell to film a video in character as the new creative director of Infowars.
Get excited.

A digital illustration of two japanese lesbians flirting in a queer underground bar in the 80s. One of them wears a blue jacket, the other a suit, while in the background there's liquor and a multitude of little stickers and illustrations of lesbian and queer marks.
The full illustration I did for @taplingzines.bsky.social "We've Always Been Here"
The zine depicts queer couples throughout cultures and history and I had the honours of portraying a Japanese lesbian couple in an underground bar during the 80s✨

I think if enough people just start vagueposting "what if it happens today" every day, we'll get there sooner

Yesterday at the bookstore a woman came in and asked if I had any books by Ursula K Leguin, and I said “yes, we have ALL the books by LeGuin.“
An hour later she left the store deliriously happy, with $193 worth of books by LeGuin.

I mean, I get that it's impossible to boycott everything that has someone whose political views you disagree with in the supply chain. That's basically almost every product that exists. Just be aware that we now have a far-right weapons dealer selling Game Boys and a journalist murderer Neo-Geos.
I think the worst thing is thinking about autistic child me, hemmed in with a million million should and should nots and now watching the world burn in various horrific ways because people have decided they are above shoulds & should nots.
I’m sorry I believed y’all when you said love thy neighbor.
