Yellow, yellow Rhododendron luteum in the blue, blue sky.

What a lovely day!

Coppery beech leaves and blue sky.

Another gorgeous tulip display. I did plant these, but I didn't choose the bulbs.

Mynydd Moel above St. Mary's from the Marian car park on my run this morning. There was frost first thing!

Let me know if you want some (only local to Dolgellau I'm afraid)and I'll arrange getting them to you. Or pop by the house and put your donation through the letterbox.

If you plant them in a sunny spot, you should get strawberries from them this year.

I'm suggesting £2.50 per plant and all money raised will be donated to humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

There'll be sunflowers for sale soon.

A nice day spent doing some sowing and potting up and pottering.

I now have a dozen strawberry plants (variety Elsanta) for sale. They're all from last year's runners and have really strong root systems...

And yet more Narcissi.

I haven't got it in me to look up all the names and varieties at present, but if you want to know, let me know.

More flowers popping up, and herbaceous perennials rising, Lazarus-like from the barren ground I was sure were their graves.

Summer snowflakes (Leucojum aestivum)
Actea 'Queen of Sheba' which just wasn't there a week ago.

...That's where most of my juice came from last year. I'm hoping there'll be a repeat this year.

Fabulous cherry blossom too.

Some gorgeous tulips in my client's garden this morning. I didn't plant those.

But the apple trees smothered in blossom I have been looking after for the last couple of years...

A very overcast but dry hill run this morning. I thought after Easter and a slightly unhealthy weekend away my fitness had backslid a bit. But I went slightly further and felt I was steadier up the hill, which seems to contradict that theory.

Unsure which way the weather was going to go this morning, it made the correct decision and stayed fine until just before I left. The views are lovely, whatever the weather.

Some red flowers coming through. Saxifrage, thrift and an abundant currant.

After a full weekend, it's lovely to be back in Dolgellau.

There's more flowers about.

Emerging and emerged marigolds.

The Brunnera is flowering profusely, although the leaves are a little on the small side.

A brief cultural tour of central Manchester today. I love Rossetti and the pre-Raphaelites, I love libraries and I love trees, and architecture.

The weather twists and turns like a twisty turny thing.

What a grey and soggy day! Luckily, it was brightened by this soggy marsh marigold (Caltha palustris) and splendid starry Magnolia stellata.
