This bank holiday Sunday our family group were back in Norwood with our friends @stanleyarts.bsky.social where we danced, pranced and were entranced by Ella Mesma Dance Company’s The Rainbow Butterfly

This weekend, our family group took a journey through time at the London Transport Museum - from the rattle of horse-drawn carriages to the thunder of Tubes. We beeped vintage horns, learned how to use old ticket machines, and got lost in the bold, barmy and beautiful old transport posters.

Blue lipped and wind whipped we made it up Mt.Toubkal...and we are just a few £ short of our fundraising target for @fencesfrontiers.bsky.social

Wonderful to be at City Hall with @citizensuk.org standing in love and solidarity with community leaders, faith groups, and charities—united in our call for free bus travel for asylum seekers. This would allow people to move beyond survival and start rebuilding their lives #roomonthebus4allofus

While Easter is a time of hope, we know it can be a particularly hard time for those far from home and the loved ones they usually celebrate with.

We also want to remember those communities who are persecuted for their faith, and those marking the day in the midst of war.

One of our families has been suddenly moved after a huge fire in their 'hotel'.

We're relieved they're safe. However, this highlights again why warehousing asylum seekers is so wrong - leading to unsafe living conditions and breeding division.

Many of our participants are living through the hardest times in their lives, living in limbo, far from home and family. We exist to give them a community, escape from daily fears, and the skills to rebuild their lives!

Yesterday, we shared a wonderful mother's day celebration with our friends at Stanley arts. This was a jam-packed day of storytelling, card making (written in many mother tongues), kids comedy (bum jokes galore) and scrumptious cake made by the Stanley Arts team!
