On #WorldRefugeeDay we celebrate the incredible people in our community, while continuing our fight for a safer, more just world.

As the world grows more divided, communities like ours offer more than a safe haven — they offer hope.

Absolutely, we need to find new ways to tell stories of displacement.

Particularly in a media and political environment that is determined to paint refugees as a threat.

We're always looking for artists and writers to work with our participants!

This weekend, our family group took a journey through time at the London Transport Museum - from the rattle of horse-drawn carriages to the thunder of Tubes. We beeped vintage horns, learned how to use old ticket machines, and got lost in the bold, barmy and beautiful old transport posters.

While Easter is a time of hope, we know it can be a particularly hard time for those far from home and the loved ones they usually celebrate with.

We also want to remember those communities who are persecuted for their faith, and those marking the day in the midst of war.

One of our families has been suddenly moved after a huge fire in their 'hotel'.

We're relieved they're safe. However, this highlights again why warehousing asylum seekers is so wrong - leading to unsafe living conditions and breeding division.
