It's amazing here in Leicestershire too 😊

Hi, I'd love to be added as a contributor if possible please. Thanks :)
We found that the carnivorous Sundews were more or less carnivorous depending on microhabitat conditions.

Spot the incorrect AI 'fact':
Bladderworts: turning to algae and pollen as a food source.
Round-leaved Sundews: refusing to eat insects and instead suggesting vegetables like Brussels sprouts and kale.
Sundews: becoming less interested in eating insects due to increased soil nitrogen levels.
Are they both Nature Recovery?
What's the umbrella term for these things? They share a lot in common, don't they?
Birthday treat... and a win too 😊
🔊Job offers!📢. We will have a few post-doc and PhD studentship positions to join our research team in Aberdeen. Please apply or disseminate the first one below on:

Really enjoyed being part of this. Made me think, and made my brain hurt.
Expertly lead by Kadeem Gilbert.

I went to a couple a few years back, tiny little remnants with giant drosera. Most southerly raised bog in Europe! Would be good to do more with those though as they experience very different climate to those in sweden
With these specimens I want to test non destructive approaches for measuring traits... to then measure traits accross 000s of specimens to understand spatiotemporal patterns in context of environmental change.
I need to find a reason to go!
This is interesting. Did you see the Dynamic Dunescapes project in the UK. There's a move towards encouraging more dynamic dune systems to get those early succession habitats... they're more important for plants too.
Awesome, where's that?
Somewhere in Sweden 1918
Cwm Idwal 2022
More Sundew herbarium specimen preparation for future studies... Will be a shame to destroy these, but that's why I made them!
No AI generated art here, just real photos and nice science. Really pleased with this paper 😊

This is so vitally important. Policy makers at every level need to read and act on this.
