At the outset, the second Trump administration had more women serving in Cabinet-level positions than any other prior Rep. presidential administration (though still trailing recent Dem. administrations, including the Biden administration, which was the first women-majority Cabinet in history).
New Jersey has a new congresswoman, and America has new records for Latinas serving in the U.S. House and Congress overall.

Upon swearing in, Analilia Mejia (D) will become the 4th woman in New Jersey’s 12-member U.S. delegation. She will be the second Latina, and first Afro-Latina, to represent New Jersey in Congress.
