I have the same car (color and all)! It's my second one, I traded in my 2016 for a 2025.

@dieworkwear.bsky.social We need you to weigh in!
Luckily Layla lost her escape artist and bolter tendencies as she got older. A light to see her in the backyard at night is a good idea, though, especially as she loses more of her hearing and stops being able to hear me clap for her.
I wish! Charlie is half chihuahua and after 12 years with me still does what he wants. I can't blame it all on him though, I put up with a lot.
Layla's is age related, our best guess is she's 14. Low pitches are worse, and when she's sleeping it's like she turns her ears off. I really hope the treats to wake her up works, because that would be at least a 50% improvement. I'm out of town, so she's with my mom until Saturday.
We realized the other day that she can still hear when you clap or hit your leg for emphasis, and it really startles her. I'll keep an eye out for other triggers.
This is one of the thing that startles her ๐
The treat is a good idea (and Charlie would appreciate that too, because if she gets one, he gets one!)
A small black and tan dog is curled up on her side on a blue paisley quilt.
#UglyDogs and dog people in general - any tips for making life easier on a dog who's going deaf? Layla has always been anxious, but since her hearing has really started going her startle reflex is in overdrive and I feel so bad for her.
I grew up there. You couldn't pay me to live there full-time again. There's a reason I have a sign in my office that says "What happens on St. Simons everyone knows by dinner".
I live in FL. I've been in WA state for a week and get home about 10:30pm tonight. I fly to Nashville 36 hours later and don't get back until Friday night. Then I get a week at home before I have to fly to San Diego for 4 days. Then I'm staying with my mom for a week and in NYC for a weekend. ๐ซ
SYVIE, that is one of best disapproving faces I have ever seen. May I save your face for when I need to let someone know I don't approve?
Not trying to pile on, but I'd love to read your writing and I refuse to give Substack traffic.
Blair is such a good storyteller!
I give myself weekly abdomen injections, so a long as it wasn't a much longer needle than I'm used to, I'd do it myself.
A coffee mug, water bottle, and plate of pastries on a round gold tray sitting on a gray ottoman. Next to the tray is the book "Delilah Green Doesn't Care". A fire is going in the fireplace in the background.
I'm currently on the west coast, but my body is still very firmly on east coast time, so I'm enjoying a quiet morning with coffee, pastries, a book, and a fire. Life does not suck today.
I finally plucked this out of my TBR and OMG SO GOOD! Thank you for the rec, because I'm not sure I would have picked it up on my own, but once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. This was a perfect "how are they going to make it work?" without the characters making me want to yell at them!
It still boggles my mind that peanut is old enough to request dessert. What even is time?
Tao, a small brown pug with big eyes and a black nose, sticking his head out of the top of his carrier to say hi.
Y'all, I am flying to Seattle to see my bestie and there is a DOG in my row! Meet Tao (named after Tsingtao beer ๐). Best seatmate ever!

Syvie, I used to be a virologist, so virus ball makes me very happy!
It took me a second to figure out where the rest of Flame was ๐
You beat me to it!
I loved At First Spite and it was so much fun catching up with the characters in Second Chance Romance.
