WILLOW WARBLER is home, on a territory where every year a male sings.
Each year in April this is the song that floors me, that takes me back to a wide-eyed child, falling in love for the very first time with the wild.
In between the April showers, the Wren brings in more moss - insulation, absorbency & comfort are the order of the day, for a very small nest space that may be crowded with wrenlets by the end of the month.

A patch of nettles can support over 40 insect species. They’re a vital source of food for the caterpillars of peacock and small tortoiseshell butterflies - so please let a few nettles grow!
