People talk about AI as if it were a moral evil to use it, and thus justifying harassment of individuals, while ignoring the WAY bigger problem of how AI is being used by companies to destroy the job market, steal intellectual property from authors and artists to increase their revenue margins, -c-

I'm not saying that using an AI generator to create an image derived from a pastiche of stolen material, and then posting it on social media claiming to be an artist is good. Nor am I saying that people shilling for Yet Another Tech Scam are good either. But some time ago we've long lost the plot.

Funny to see on this site people being fully-blown luddites against any sort of modern technology as if that made them cool, while on deviantArt my friends are complaining about how they get harassed by self-righteous trolls who constantly accuse them of being AI artists for being good at art.
