GRANGE HILL: "Slip on the wet floor, did you?" Phil Redmond's hard-hitting school drama didn't pull its punches. In a 'they did things differently back then' scene from 1981, hard but fair P.E. teacher 'Bullet' Baxter doles out justice to a colleague who's been bullying kids.

Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

On this day in 1989, Napoli faced Bayern Munich at Olimpiastadion in Munich and Diego (inadvertently) created a piece of art for the ages 🥹

Seen this get a lot of coverage on Bluesky this week and rightly so. Released 24 years ago, I remember this track and video being so profound. The bit about "turning around and life's passed you by". The same feelings hold true now. Absolutely unreal stuff!!

Not sure who needs to see this but...
So sad to learn of the passing of Moya Brennan of Clannad. For me, her singing was the bridge between the old traditions of Irish music and something new and vibrant as contemporary sounds and influences came into it.
Her instrument was her voice, and it was stunning.

Absolutely magical. Handel's Messiah on Dublin's Fishamble Street this lunchtime, 284 years after it was first performed. Proinnsías Ó Duinn, 85 years young conducting, a living legend.
Hope they lose the league
