A wide-field astrophotography shot of the Fireworks Galaxy (NGC 6946) against a dark, star-speckled background. The galaxy is a face-on intermediate spiral, showing a bright, warm yellowish core surrounded by intricate, sweeping spiral arms. These arms are accented with subtle blue tones from young star clusters and vibrant pinkish-red patches indicating H II star-forming regions. The entire galaxy has a soft, ethereal glow, and the surrounding black space is dotted with numerous sharp, distant stars of varying brightness. A small white logo for Paramount Observatory is visible in the bottom right corner.
Whilst cloudy skies are still persisting here, spend a bit more time working on older data. This is my image of C12 the fireworks galaxy from August 2025. I do like this Galaxy with all it's star forming areas in it's spiral arms π
