It’s so much more than a vampire movie, and barely a vampire movie at that. The inevitable blood-letting, if that’s not your thing, can be forwarded through and you won’t spoil your enjoyment of the film and everything it has to say. Hard recommendation!

2026 watch #73 - The Covenant (2023). Despite its pro US military propaganda - the Taliban are basically faceless NPC’s - Guy Ritchie’s mature storytelling is mesmerising. Like Lone Survivor, firefights are visceral, and you really care for the two leads survival. It’s a good action flick. #filmsky

2026 watch #68 - Poltergeist (1982). E.T. meets Ghostbusters, with a few Spielbergian flourishes that give way to some outstanding Tobe Hooper horror and SFX, especially in the climax. I just read they used real skeletons to save on budget. Did Jobeth know I wonder?? 😳
