👑 MAN OF THE MATCH: DANNY WARD

Hands together, tape wrapped, just clapping it out like it’s another day… but you know what’s just happened. We're back in it. We're daring to believe. Again.

Everything’s been coming at him.
Crosses, headers, shots through bodies. All of it.

And he’s just stood there taking it, dealing with it, not making a thing of it.

Those socks pulled high as ever, yeah, the slutty little thigh-highs made an appearance, planted in the middle of it all while everything’s flying in.

There’s no big celebration in it. No chest out, no roaring.

Just that look of: job's done.

Because when it’s like that, constant, messy, dropping everywhere, someone has to hold it.

And today, it was him.

Your #WTSMOTM Danny Ward.

40’: Windass gives us the lead. Then it’s just Ward for the next 50 minutes.

Saves, crosses, bodies in the box. Everything coming in, everything dealt with.

Holds it. Keeps it.

That’s the win.

Just wanted to make sure the #wxmthirstsection were made aware of these thirst-inducing photos 😁

Mid-stride and absolutely built for it.

Ball just ahead, left foot ready to take it, right leg driving through. Everything about the movement shows control. Quads doing the work, calves engaged, that clean push off the turf where the whole lower body is firing properly.

Shorts riding slightly with the stride, legs fully on show, muscle switching on and off with each step, nothing soft about it. Just that kind of movement where power and control are happening at the same time.

Upper body tight and steady, shoulders set, arms locked in just enough to balance. Shirt pulling across the chest and back as he moves, fabric stretched where it needs to be. You can see the structure of it, not exaggerated, just solid and functional.

There’s weight behind every step, but it’s controlled. No scramble. No wasted motion.

Ball stays close because everything else is doing its job.

It’s proper athletic movement, the kind that looks good because it does the necessary work.

And yeah… when it looks like that, The Section are going to notice.

👑 WTS MAN OF THE MATCH: GEORGE THOMASON

At 31’, you see it drop to him. You’re not really expecting anything… then he fires it toward goal, you’re already halfway out your seat when Windass heads it in.

Heavily involved throughout. He's Tommo!

Oh that makes so much more sense! And is EXTRA AMAZING! From the first post I saw I was trying to figure out how boning & a corset fit into a baseball jersey 😆 but I know nothing of clothes making so thought it was just my ignorance showing. I can’t wait to see the pirate outfit!!!

I had to go back through your posts to see what this is going to be. A baseball jersey? So cool! But from this post alone I thought you were doing a strapless full-skirt ball gown & I would have been all in for that too!

Ward: “Whoo-hoo! My first game back & I get a clean sheet! The media are definitely going to take my pic—Aw c’mon man! Scarr! WTF dude!“ 🤬
Scarr: oh excuse me. Just have to get my shirts to the laundry. 😬

That’s you. You're the MOTM.

4:00 AM. 7:00 AM. 12:00 PM. Whatever kickoff time was. That's you.
Mud still on the socks. Eyes saying "why did we do this to ourselves?"
Still sat there like you've played 90 minutes emotionally.

Wear your kickoff time like a badge of honour.
Towel over the shoulders like you've just come off after putting in a shift… except the shift was waking up or traveling for that performance.

Energy drink cans, coffee cups, snack wrappers everywhere. Alarm clock and phone screens glowing.

And yet… still here. Still showed up. Always will. Proper Section legend behaviour. Give yourselves a clap off.

Cross after cross,
Chance after chance,
Eventually something gives.

Today, it was us.

But we're here. Watching, caring, voting.

This is what the Championship looks like sometimes.

It’s a rough run. No denying it. But we’re still here.

🔥 MOTM — JOSH WINDASS

There’s just something about him, isn’t there.

That slightly upright, almost casual stance like he’s not even trying that hard, but still ends up being the most dangerous man on the pitch. Shoulders relaxed, chest open, that quiet confidence of someone who knows he’s got something.

Kit never quite sits normally on him either. Slutty white shorts clinging just enough after 90 minutes. Not pristine, not messy. Just worked. Shirt sleeves riding up a bit, showing those forearms that look like they’ve spent the entire match scrapping, holding off defenders, winning little battles no one else notices.

And the movement? That’s the real hook.
Not frantic. Not rushed. Just smooth. Gliding into pockets, turning at the right moment, always half a step ahead like he’s already seen what’s about to happen.

There’s a bit of edge to it to.
That look when he scores, not over the top, not screaming. Just a little nod, a little "well, yeah, obviously."

Main character energy without needing to shout about it.

Even today, in a game that got away from us, he still looked like the one player who might just drag something out of nothing. And honestly? That’s half the reason the votes pile in.

Because when everything else is chaos…
he still looks composed.

And yeah, let’s be honest, that helps.

Five years ago Wrexham were fighting to even exist. Three years ago we were in non-league. Now we’re hurting because we got spanked in the Championship. Perspective doesn’t fix things. But it does fucking matter. It really does. #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC

Oh this one… this is pure, unfiltered Dobson chaos energy and we are absolutely here for it.

Mid-stride, body fully committed. You can see everything working at once. That forward lean isn’t accidental, it’s momentum driving through him, like he’s already halfway into the next action before anyone else has processed the last one. Arms out wide, palms up, part celebration, part “are you not entertained?”, part WTAF. Just owning the moment.

And physically? Built exactly how you’d want for that role. Thick through the legs. Thighs doing serious work, properly loaded from constant tackles, presses, second balls. Calves tight and defined, holding that balance as he pushes off the turf. That planted foot is doing all the stabilising while the other’s mid-swing, studs just off the ground. It’s controlled aggression in motion.

Core engaged the whole time. You can see it in how upright he stays even while moving at pace. No flailing, no wasted movement. Everything’s compact, efficient, purposeful. Upper body slightly twisted as he gestures, which just adds to that sense of tension and energy, like he could snap straight back into a sprint or a challenge in a heartbeat.

And the face? Mouth open, shouting, not just celebrating, commanding. That’s a man who’s dictated the tempo, thrown himself into everything, dodging a booking for his troubles, and still has the energy to demand more.

Hair tied back, shirt stretched across the frame of him, socks dragged tight over calves that have absolutely been through it. It’s not polished, it’s not pretty…

…it’s relentless.

MOTM not because he was flashy because he was everywhere, all at once, and impossible to ignore.

2-0 down → didn’t fold. That matters.
Scored immediately after halftime → mentality shift.
Dobson redemption arc → football heritage.
Point away at West Brom → we take that every day.

If this is how we respond to going behind…
Yeah. This team is ours.

Look at the build. This isn’t just "fit footballer," this is engineered for his role. The legs do most of the talking: quads properly carved from all those repeated sprints up and down the flank, calves tight and spring-loaded like he could explode past a full-back at any second. There’s nothing wasted there. Every bit of muscle looks like it has a job and is currently doing it better than your entire defence.

The stride is the giveaway. Long, smooth, economical. He’s covering ground without looking like he’s even trying. That’s the scary bit. Some players sprint; he just opens up and suddenly he’s gone.

Upper body? Lean but strong. Shoulders set, arms relaxed but balanced. That kind of control where he can ride a challenge without breaking rhythm. You’re not knocking him off the ball unless you’re ready for a fight you’re probably losing.

And the way he carries himself in that moment, head slightly forward, locked in, it’s all intent. No panic, no rush. Just I’m taking this exactly where I want it to go.

Add in the composure he showed for the assist and suddenly it all makes sense: this isn’t just athleticism, it’s control + power + confidence all stitched together.

Basically: built like a sprinter, moves like a winger, plays like a massive problem for the opposing team.

Wrexham leave with all three points.

Windass cancels out the early blow, Smith buries the winner via Kaboré's assist, and Okonkwo turns into an actual brick wall when it matters.
