First half? Yeah… not great. Bit scrappy, bit messy, and then suddenly we’re 1-0 down thanks to a Dobson own goal. One of those where you just stare at the screen like "cool, cool, that’s how today’s going then." Then it gets worse. Penalty. 2-0. Josh Maja sends it home and you can practically feel The Hawthorns settling in for a comfortable afternoon. Script written. Game done. Except… no. Second half starts and something shifts. Not dramatic at first, just a bit more intent, a bit more bite. Then 47’… Josh Windass. Out of nowhere. Hits it clean, game suddenly alive. 2-1. And you can see it, that little crack in the door. Oh this one… this is pure, unfiltered Dobson chaos energy and we are absolutely here for it. Mid-stride, body fully committed. You can see everything working at once. That forward lean isn’t accidental, it’s momentum driving through him, like he’s already halfway into the next action before anyone else has processed the last one. Arms out wide, palms up, part celebration, part “are you not entertained?”, part WTAF. Just owning the moment. And physically? Built exactly how you’d want for that role. Thick through the legs. Thighs doing serious work, properly loaded from constant tackles, presses, second balls. Calves tight and defined, holding that balance as he pushes off the turf. That planted foot is doing all the stabilising while the other’s mid-swing, studs just off the ground. It’s controlled aggression in motion. Core engaged the whole time. You can see it in how upright he stays even while moving at pace. No flailing, no wasted movement. Everything’s compact, efficient, purposeful. Upper body slightly twisted as he gestures, which just adds to that sense of tension and energy, like he could snap straight back into a sprint or a challenge in a heartbeat. And the face? Mouth open, shouting, not just celebrating, commanding. That’s a man who’s dictated the tempo, thrown himself into everything, dodging a booking for his troubles, and still has the energy to demand more.
