I love that Leone did it on his own terms. He turned down studio money so that he didn’t have to compromise his vision, and still made a killing. Can’t wait for T4!

Agreed. For me, the Terrifier movies bring me back to the synthesizer infused gore fests of the 80s. I feel like a teenager again watching these movies.
I had 3 on the list too, but I needed room for others!
I know it’s a divisive movie but I’m a real whore for that kind of gore.

Showgirls (1995).
A movie filled with a million great lines. But this one just might be the one.

Many times!
The music is so integral to the film.
I see your No Country hair and raise you one Perdita Durango hair.
Hal Ashby’s great Harold and Maude followed by Lucio Fulci’s glorious gory and gloppy Gates of Hell “trilogy.”
Watched out of order, but it doesn’t really matter.

A well-paired double feature, thematically connected through the power of non-conformity.

“Nice bookstore. Is one of these a trick book?” “How so?” “Like, you pull it off the shelf and a hidden door opens.” “Oh. Yes. All of them.”
The only thing to do is pick your jaw up from the floor!
I almost did the Silence of God trilogy but I realized I skipped Through a Glass Darkly, to go along with Winter Light and The Silence.
Agreed. Raw and beautiful.
