I almost did the Silence of God trilogy but I realized I skipped Through a Glass Darkly, to go along with Winter Light and The Silence.

Fanny and Alexander is an incredible achievement. He just creates masterpiece after masterpiece throughout his career and then boom, a crowning achievement.
Bergman films are not to be binged or marathoned. Each film needs to be savored and given their own space and time.
But I couldn’t help myself this week.
A screening at the Metrograph NYC of Seventh Seal started this little five star run.
Simply glorious.
