RAN-AWAY FROM the subscribers, on the night of the 14th inst., at Cedar Creek Mills, eight miles Northwest of Fuller's old stand in Washington county, a negro man named Cyrus. Said negro is about 25 years old, 5 feet 11 inches high, heavy stout built, black, quick spoken and rather polite when addressed. Had on when he left a dark kersey monkey jacet and striped hickory shirt, but took with him two or three suits of clothing, among which was a black or dark colored cloth frock coat; other articles not recollected. The boy Cyrus  was brought from Alabama by a Mr. Moore to Texas and may try to get back to Alabama, though he is a shrewd fellow and may attempt to make his way into Mexico. A liberal reward will be paid for the apprehension and delivery of said boy to us, or for securing him in some jail, so that we get him. Address J. L. Farquhar, at Washington, or William H. He was in the habit of wearing a thread-bare cloth coat, woollen pants, and beaver hat. The above reward will be given for his confinement in any jail in the State, so that I can get him, or fifty dollars, if delivered to me at Chapel Hill. Holmes, living near Allen's Fresh, owns his wife, and it is conjectured that he is lurking in that neighborhood. The above reward will be given for the apprehension of Alexius if taken over thirty miles from home, or twenty dollars if taken in the county, in either case to be secured in jail or delivered to me so that I get him again. In Nov 1851, I was jailed in Caswell Co, NC. Told them I belonged to Joseph Passmore of Georgia. At 60, with a nose scarred by old fights, I had walked hundreds of miles. The Sheriff published my ad for months, but no one ever came. I was finally unclaimed. My name was CAMBRIDGE.
