I paid for diagnosis and advice from an occupational therapist over a period of a year through a fatigue clinic that was run by the NHS but was taking private patients as well at the time. Sadly, they no longer offer this service. They were brilliant, if expensive. NHS waiting list was too long.

I'm sorry your partner is struggling so much and yet not suffering enough for the pittance the government deems fit to give to the disabled. The PIP system is seriously floored and designed (I believe) to be impossible to understand or to fulfil the requirements.

Labour is looking to merge ESA & JSA and make the new benefit time limited.
Ontop of PIP loss, disabled people could lose another ยฃ7k plus a year as a result.
And during your claim you HAVE to look for work - even if you can't

Mental health conditions are overdiagnosed, Streeting says Wes Streeting says too many young people are "being written off", as he defends upcoming welfare reforms.

Might I not so politely suggest that Streeting yeets himself into the sun. Yes, diagnosis has improved, and people are becoming more aware of mental health issues. That doesn't mean they are being "overdiagnosed". It is more likely they were previously under-diagnosed.
