Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

When it comes to historic flights, NASA is aware of picking the right people for the moment among all their other outstanding qualifications. And boy did they nail it with these guys.

No, I’m not crying…I’m sobbing.

Look at the women at NASA.

They are the ones pushing the boundaries of science, solving problems most people can’t even understand, and carrying this country forward, while our politicians right now posture and stumble through talking points.

And they are doing it all with joy.👇

I am an author myself and I buy very few books. But I borrow TONS from the library.

The authors need those borrowing numbers to keep their books (current and future) in the library. And the library needs those borrowing numbers for funding.

Yup. Always! I don't like the tv too loud, and the dialogue is often too quiet while the music, etc is too loud. There's so much mumbling these days, or am I just old? Also I'm rubbish at clearly understanding various accents and dialects.

I think it’s time we reframe the language. “Liberal” ought to be relabeled as “Progressive” because “conservative” is actually “regressive”/ going backwards on equality and human rights.

We need —we DESERVE— a world where progress wins over regression and repression.

Artemis II astronaut Reid Wiseman named a newly discovered moon crater after his late wife, Carroll, who died in 2020 following a 5-year battle with cancer.

A few have suggested that some aspects of this mission--joy, international teamwork, diversity--are being played up to stick it to the hateful attitude of the administration. But I don't think it's that. I think it's just that those things are essential to and inseparable from a mission like this.
