One reason not to fly into PBI: when your flight has to circle for 30 minutes because the airport is shut down so the Big Cheetolini can go back to DC from his hectic golf schedule. 😡

I think we all need one of these right now.
They get themselves into the tightest spots!
Yep, I didn't get it today either 😬
I’m currently enjoying the Side Door podcast from the Smithsonian. It’s been out since 2017, so there are lots of back episodes to work through.
Why can't Biden release it? Use that presidential immunity for good!
What an interesting article! I appreciate how the two countries are working together to manage the genetic diversity of the species, too.

Lesson planning seems like an exercise in futility when admin sends an email saying that 4 days will be screwed up next week for testing. But only for 9th and 10th grade. Oh, and the 2 full days this week for mandatory student workshop/discussion groups.
It’s my souvenir yarn from Ireland, so I want to get it right.
Well, back to square one. I have now annotated my pattern ("don't be a dumba$$....again") when I need to go up a needle size. #knittersofinstagram #knitting
Me too! Continuing success oh DH’s cancer treatment, successful audition for oldest, good grad school experience for middle, new job for youngest. All that will make my life easier!
Let's just say, none of us are that good at darts
I picked my son up at the airport today. He was wearing the purple and gold (LSU, natch) beanie I knitted for him probably 10 years ago. It makes me happy that he still uses it!
Wordle score showing that my starter word was finally the Wordle of the day!
Well, I guess it's time to find a new starter word for Wordle!
That sounds like torture. Whyyyyyy?
Is it really a midterm (Honors Biology) if you don't have to wake up 2 students in the middle of the test? (Better than the 7 kids I had to wake up in Monday's midterm.)
One more day, one more exam.....
It was challenging!
A quart Mason jar filled two thirds of the way with homemade Meyer lemon curd.
Patio sized potted Meyer lemon tree with the other half of my lemon crop aka 2 lemons.
I used half of my Meyer lemon crop (i.e. 2 lemons) and made lemon curd. It's really tasty.... now to figure out how to use it.
I did this with my HBio class today in 3 stages: "just your brain" labeling. Before I gave them the key words, I had them highlight their original info. Used key word list to add more info. Finally, used notebook to add anything else. Great to see what they knew (not much) and how much they added.

Call me Sisyphus, day 6854. Work on today's backlog: putting Nov 13's notebook checks in online gradebook. Still in backlog: short answer part of 130 pre-break tests. New to backlog: today's vocab quiz and 2 formative assessments to mark. I think that boulder is going to roll right over me tomorrow.
Well well well, look who bubbled up out of the Tallahassee swamp. You’d think he’d lay low after flaming out of national politics.
Carolina Herrera’s daughter Carolina is a Jr
I’ve taught my students to highlight or underline key terms. The ones who practice and use the skill do better on assessments. And I went over one test question and took apart how I knew they didn’t read the whole question.
See, this isn't that difficult.
This is the dream! Don't forget the chocolates
Sitting in the passenger seat knitting cotton striped mitered squares for an eventual blanket.
Car knitting helps me not freak out while hubby is driving. (He gets annoyed when I gasp or step on the imaginary brake pedal.)
Happily, the district didn't take away any of our break to make up hurricane days! Taking a few well-deserved days off. #letsgocamping
Pecan pie made by the high school culinary academy, given to teachers by the principal for Thanksgiving
First they fed us a delicious Thanksgiving lunch, and now we get a pie to take home for Thanksgiving! I really like having a culinary program at my high school.
