When a U.S. senator calls Germany’s defense against extremism “tyranny,” the German Foreign Office responds with a calm reminder: democracy means protecting the Constitution—even from those who threaten it from within.
History taught us why this matters.

Merry Christmas!
As a father of a daughter who had a full liver transplant and is a Stage 4 cancer survivor, F these ghouls to the lowest depths of hell.
Interesting read about a pretty advanced malware that „just“ mines Monero and makes $300 per day. One would think that these advanced techniques would be deployed to wreck havoc. news.sophos.com/en-us/2019/1...
Sehr sehenswert!
Using it since it came out and never been disappointed. It gets only better with each release.
“New research challenges us to see these disasters as broader events that have lasting effects for decades after they hit – whether from stress, financial hardship, pollution or long-term disease.” Very good read about the lasting effects of disasters.

This article by @mitsuhiko.at can also be applied to Germany. Almost every part matches. And part of it also explains the failure to change. Germany has been so reluctant to change that now it is very late in many industries.

That does not sound good. Hopefully this is not the beginning of a new catastrophe.
Working on a solution that uses #langchain and #langgraph. After some exploration it is quite a nice tandem to work with. Also #langsmith is really nice for debugging your prompts and chains.
Ventured into #Zephyr debugging today and got SEGGER SystemView running. Also #CLion debugging works like a charm. Of course only after some hours of configuration because I have a non standard environment.
apparently my post "you have built a compiler" (rachit.pl/post/you-hav...) has spawned a little genre:

those who fail to learn about systems are doomed to recreate (crappy versions of) them
The only thing that will prevent a third term will be his health. And even then Vance or someone else will take over. They will fabricate some emergency and declare martial law and then just stay.
Today I did a quick dive into the world of #LTE to understand pros and cons of different categories better. Note: If using Cat 1bis be aware of QoS restrictions a carrier might apply. Your device might get downgraded when Cat 4+ devices are present. www.u-blox.com/en/blogs/ins...
Just discovered #Google #Autopilot that, together with Cloud Run, allows even GKE pods to scale to zero. And in general it looks like an easy way to deploy into a #Kubernetes cluster. I am still an #AWS fanboy but that is impressive.
A graphic depiction helps make clear that Trump has no “mandate.” One of the narrowest popular vote wins in history.
Nice explanation of different caching strategies by @bytebytego.bsky.social. One tool you can use is #redis. Have been using it for years and it delivers! But I have to admit that #DragonflyDB might have some benefits over redis. First tests look promising.
Oh yeah - I have been forced to add SAC. As a product I think it is going nowhere.
Back to some #cloud #architecture for a current project. #AWS and #SAP BTP working in tandem. Using #draw.io since a year and very happy with it.
This a hard read. But a worthy one. Read it. Really do. A society can be called human if we care for the most vulnerable. Politics is on the right track if it focuses not on the wealthy but on the poor.

You want cats in my timeline? I don’t have one. But I give you a dog! Nicest one in the world.
Challenge to all #c #zephyr #rtos experts: Can you spot the error "warning: empty declaration" here? I could neither. At least for two hours. Macros can drive you batshit crazy. Hint: It has to do with a semicolon. Finally compilation is warning free.
This JEP in #Java 24 will be a huge improvement especially when running applications in a container. Need to try it out with Spring Boot!

Good article about the metadata hell in #Python. Each package manager does its own thing especially when it comes to storage. And there isn’t even a standard API to get just the version in your code. At least pyproject.toml was a good start.

Some amazing new features for the #Spring universe. Minor but relevant for one of my projects: OTLP spans over gRPC. And @Fallback for beans. And many more.
