Leigh Hoffman gets Australia’s sole medal - a bronze - at the Hong Kong World Cup event in the sprint.

Matt Richardson scary fast to win his second World Cup gold of the year.

Always nice to watch some track cycling of a Sunday night too - the Madison was amazing.

Didn’t get the win but a solid hug at the end made up for it.

4-3 though, cracking game.

Some Brisbane 2032 stuff this morning.

A founding sponsor revealed six years out is a big milestone.

But there’s still a lot of work to do.

Henderson 'content' knowing her epic reign will not last forever Rebecca Henderson has won 13 elite national mountain bike cross-country titles in a row and, this season, is unbeaten in the UCI Oceania Continental series, which concludes this weekend at the Cairns ...

Rebecca Henderson won her 13th national cross country title in a row earlier this year.

She knows the time will come when someone will take her green and gold bands off her. And she’s ready for that to happen. Almost.

Why Gout's incredible run deserves equal measures of praise and patience Gout Gout was on the lips of every athletics fan across the globe on the weekend, but elements of his record-breaking run need to be treated with caution.

My two-cents worth on Gout Gout's incredible 200m run, which deserves equal measures of praise and patience.

Of all the amazing moments in last night’s #ParisRoubaix men’s race, this one stuck with me this morning.

Mathieu van der Poel going straight to Wout van Aert to congratulate him on his win.

No doubt disappointed after a mad race, but was still able to acknowledge his eternal rival. Chapeau. 👏

Omg and he’s dedicated the win to Michael Goolaerts’ memory.

Goolaerts, a fellow Belgian, died following a cardiac arrest during the 2018 #ParisRoubaix race.

Damn, there must be something in my eye…

The 90-day swim that united New Zealand behind ocean conservation Jono Ridler swam 1,367 kilometres down New Zealand's east coast to raise awareness for ocean health and to end bottom trawling. His exploits have galvanised a nation.

Had the pleasure of talking to Jono Ridler after his epic, 90-day, 1,367km Swim4TheOcean down the east coast of New Zealand’s north island.

It’s a big read, but theirs is a big topic to get across.

Why these dogs are on the pool deck at Australian Open swimming titles The swimmers at the Australian Open championships this week have had additional support from the side of the pool in the form of three retriever dogs.

I may have spent most of yesterday playing with puppies instead of watching the swimming.

It was worth it.

Loved talking to Sam Williamson ahead of the #AustralianOpen swimming this week - such an impressive guy whose has to deal with a frankly awful injury over the past year.

Looking forward to seeing him back to his best on the Gold Coast.

I was so impressed with Kristina Clonan when I spoke to her this week.

She has had a really rough run of it with injuries but, instead of wallowing, she’s spent the time elevating others, setting up a scholarship that rising road star Amelie Sanders won.

Oh, and she likes bobsleigh too. Epic.

Great wins for Leigh Hoffman and Alessia McCaig in the keirin last night.

With Japanese professional keirin opening up to foreign riders for the first time since COVID, you’d have to think both riders would be high on the list for a possible invite if they keep their form high.
