it's so weird, I saw screenshots of it on douban but I don't see it on mine
why are they so mysterious about it ... orz
poster of movie 跟踪, loosely translated as "following the tracks". The poster is a picture of a dark narrow street.
《跟踪》电影 定档2月3日
i saw some people on douyin praising this movie as the best movie of 2026.
but for some reason it is very hard to find?? I can't find it on douban, internet. Instead i keep finding other movies that share the same name..
all i know is that apparently it's an adaptation of 我只喜欢你的人设
a reaction image of a cat with an emoji hand, with index finger pointed upward. above cat's head is written: " 中 !".
洗衣粉儿 = 媳妇儿
as of now, I'm trying to understand this image. so far I'm interpreting it as "exactly". but I'm having doubts because with the video context on douyin, this reaction made no sense 😭
went to douyin and learned so many fandom words!
左位/右位 - the left side character(s) of a ship name, the right side
坑 - fandom
情人越多越气派 - current phrasal meme
二次元 - anime
洁癖 - a person who (except of their otp) doesn't ship other characters
吧唧 - badge
mj (梦角 as in 梦角色)- dream character
家产 - iiuc OTP
what a cute doggie! ☺️

and during the weekends i have to be stuffend in my room because there is nowhere to go during the weekends orz.
i would love to hang out in library but they're closed ...
the biggest crimes of libraries is that they're never open during the weekends

thank you for the rec! ^^ i didn't even know wechat had such a mini program! 😮
ooh that's interesting! i love how there are many variations to it.
thank you for the info! ^^
(hehe i love that you call that one dot in 3rd picture as "snake's eye")
oh that sounds interesting! I didn't know Japan did that!
if Japanese wanted to emphasize the whole sentence, would they put black dots to each character? 😮
I'm still not at the level to understand those articles completely, so i used google translate to help myself.

I tried to do some digging and apparently, punctuation was very new in China in the 1900s. It happened to be in the 新青年 magazine where they were experimenting and adding new punctuations (such as: " ," "、" ":" ";" )
if I understood correctly, “。” was used to indicate pauses in text.
ah okay, thank you for the reply! ^^
@pyroneer.bsky.social Hi, sorry to bother you, but by any chance do you know why chinese put periods almost after each character (like in the picture above)?
a screenshot of a portion of a chinese text
Was looking through a chinese magazine (新青年 - New Youth - La jeunesse ) and found that there are many periods, almost after each character.
What is their purpose? I doubt their function here is the same as the period that I'm used to.. 🤔
just watched Legend of Hei 2, and it was so good 😭
planned to watch it with english subtitles, but i couldnt find any (on my 2 first tries)(i was impatient) so then i just watched it without it
and luckily i understood everything! i was so lucky that they used easy vocab😅
a herd of sheep with text that reads "woah bro, did you just judge yourself for fumbling as you learn and try something new? damn dude give yourself some grace"
thank you! ^^

Week 8 (16.2. - 22.2 )
这周我:
🌰 listened to chinese music
🌰 spoke for the first time in chinese for 1hr and half (the sentences were never complete, very much lvl a1, but at least i understood a lot!)
🌰 practiced writing certain sentence structures (无论……还是,等到……就/再, etc.) for 2hrs.
i have never seen a square that starts like this 😮 i thought all of them started from center like doilies
woah i love it! you've improved a lot! great work! ^^
