Ok I just saw this, what on earth??

Omg I'm in love with that scarf. And is it double knit? Phew, that's a LOT!
I somehow accidentally made gauge after misreading the needle size. 🤷♀️ But hey, it worked.
And now I've officially cast on (casted on?) the Ellie Shirt using Royal Bee Yarn Co. yarn. 🧶

So true. And what a great idea. Like a sampler!
Exactly! There are so many reasons to swatch. The idea of having to frog halfway through terrifies me. So I'd rather start slowly and methodically.
Swatching!
Yes, those of us who actually swatch actually exist. 🤓

On to the next project! My first attempt at beadwork. 🧶
Yarn: Juniper Moon Farm - Findley
Pattern: Run and Cola shawl on ravelry
Ok, I'm back with breaking knit news 🧶: the Encinitas top is finished!
I love the fit, and I'm pleased with the sleeve silhouette, which I wasn't originally sure about.
Pay no attention to the ends that I still have to weave in. 🤫
Oof.
Picture of a tabby cat resting on a pile of blanket.
She only *looks* like she's sleeping. As soon as I move the charging cord or some yarn, she is in hunter mode.

Oh hell yeah. I'm in!
Large, exasperated sigh
Like getting a progress report from school. "A pleasure to have in class" lol
It's been a while, time for a Memento sock check in!

A series of stained glass windows?
I know it's not knitting content, but I downloaded the app @5calls.org today and actually called my congressperson's office, which I've never done before .
Anxiety inducing, but worth it. Call your reps!
And shout-out to @daveminca.bsky.social's staff for being gracious and informative.
Wooo! Officially split for sleeves. Maintaining this pattern across the sleeves may prove tricky, but this has been such a fun knit so far. 🧶
I'm procrastinating working on a cardigan sleeve. So instead, let's cast on some socks! 😅
Pattern: Memento on Ravelry
Yarn: Royal Bee Yarn Company, leftover form a previous project
Omg the floats are gorgeous. This whole pattern is so pretty! Congrats 👏👏
Another progress shot before I take a break. I need to be better about stretch breaks, my arms are complaining. So if you're reading this, put the yarn down and stretch for a minute! 🧶
For some reason I also enjoy the Damascus steel blacksmith ones. No idea why.
WIP Wednesday! Still working on that Encinitas Top. This is really enjoyable to knit. A very "TV knit" kind of pattern so far. 🧶
Next up: Encinitas Top using this gorgeous gold yarn from Chaos Fiber Co. 🧶
Had to get creative with blocking the hood. But I'm excited to give it to the recipient!
Now on to the next project 🧶
My very first handspun yarn project! 🧶
There will be more colors to come, but right now all we're getting is blue. I haven't been satisfied enough with previous spins to make anything with the yarn, so this is exciting for me.
Not an ad, but I genuinely don't know how I would keep track of stuff without a knitting app. if I had to remember the row I'm on, and to do a decrease every 16 rows, a total of 14 times, I would lose it. This one (Knit Companion) tells me when it's time to do a decrease, once I've set it up. 🧶
My first time doing a jacquard stitch. Not too tricky if you've done color work before. Just gotta leave enough slack in the yarn to keep it from pulling too tight. 🧶
Right? It's even more varied in person, with a mix of pink and purple throughout.
This kid sweater is knitting up so fast. Just need to do the trim and sleeves.
So much quicker than making a me-sized sweater. 🧶 😂
A grey couch with an in-progress knitted sweater displayed. It is made of pink and purple yarn. A grey and white cat sleeps near the project.
Today's project is the beginning of the Robin Hoodie sweater by Lisa Chemery. The hood is at the top and I'm in the middle of the increases for the yoke. This yarn is so soft and squishy to work with!
Featuring Buddy the cat. 🧶
