Oh also: I didn’t end up at ASU (I actually went to UA down the road), but it was the spark that started the journey.

At 34 I learned of the astronomy PhD program while visiting ASU at a teacher workshop. I decided to do that, but learned I didn’t have the math and coding for it. So I decided to go back to a second UG. Applied that Sep to start the next Aug. 10 years later I’m a postdoc astronomer 😅

I liked Caroline Morley's Exoclimes poster describing our Sonora model set so much that I'm going to hang up a replica in my office.

TO BE PERFECTLY CLEAR, THE PROPOSED NSF BUDGET CUTS NEARLY A QUARTER OF A MILLION PEOPLE FROM NSF ACTIVITIES. FOR INSTANCE, JOBS.

As an elder millennial I was raised to put two spaces after a period. Coming back to academia a few years ago I learn is now forbidden and struggle to break this habit. So it's anyone's guess how many spaces I'm going to put after any given period.
