For #BlackSpaceWeek 2025, I did another virtual story time for Strive Higher (a nonprofit for underserved kids in the Bronx for educational programs) and the kids were the cutest, asked the best questions and even signed a board to congratulate me on my PhD. Their little handwriting is so cute!

There's still time to get those submissions in! As long as it's astro related it counts. We've had some great astro events, including eclipses, aurorae, and more. Astrophotography is eligible as well! @amyraehill.bsky.social @stellerarts.com and @startorialist.com are sponsors! #BlackSpaceWeek

Palestine 🇵🇸
Journalists in Gaza are risking and losing their lives to show the world what genocide looks like. Bearing witness matters. We honor them and echo their call: Free Palestine. #SharingTheUniverse #BlackSpaceWeek
This #BlackSpaceWeek, we’re #SharingTheUniverse by telling stories that demand justice. Journalism, especially by Black and marginalized voices, is essential for truth and liberation. Silence protects power. Truth challenges it. 🧵
Space journalists are essential: they decode complexity, inspire future explorers, and ensure accountability in science. Let’s uplift their role this #SharingTheUniverse day. Do you know any Space journalists? #BlackSpaceWeek
