Seed by Seed is experiencing significant financial difficulties, and we have to pause our creative activities. We're not closing the studio, but we had to let go most of our employees (understand: we fired ourselves) and we'll now focus on contract work to stabilize our company. Seed by Seed still exists with a few persons that will maintain our games as much as they possibly can. Nevertheless, Baladins will soon be released on consoles, and more is to come for Jump the Track.
The Seed by Seed team sends lots of love to everyone who has helped us on our creative journey so far. You can support us by buying and playing our games, spreading the word, and leaving good reviews on Steam. All efforts will help us return to creating our own weird adventures.

the anime sfx-making tool!
It's called ANIMEVOX, in big letters up top.
Then there's the controls:

In vertical pairs:
Left:
Pitch Rise
Rise speed

Reverb
Room size

On the right:
Wobble Speed
Wobble Amount

Tone Brightness
Volume

Next is a row of keys:
Randomize - randomizes the sound parameters
UNDO/ REDO - go back to parameters you liked
Export Wav - self explanatory, it saves a copy of the latest sound to your hard drive.

Then the fun buttons, with cute art styles:

IMPACT, sparkle, beam, powerUP, PON, BOOM, slash, woosh

Each produces a preset sound, which then goes through the fx chain.

Feel you! Slow computer is so frustrating and its hard to change habits 😭

Maybe it's still too shy in the mix but there is clothes sounds to enhance the slide, but it's not a very strong woosh either (don't want the jump & slide to be too much attention grabbing as they will be used nearly as much as basic footsteps). Maybe i will make it a bit stronger tho, will see!

Still a lot of work to do, but I like it way more than the previous one. Also I developed new audio systems for dynamic music layers, localized ambient sounds (saws/conveyor belts), and screen-space sound spatialization!

I had forgotten I announced it as early as that 💀
I've postponed it for a lot of reasons one after another, but mostly because I didn't liked the sounds and was afraid to ruin the first impression with it :(
I've restarted the sound design from scratch, i still struggle quite a bit but it's better!
