It probably is. I kept thinking I was being lazy or I wasn’t getting enough sleep. Then I found an article and took more time off. Take care of yourself
I’ve been reading about this lately. I always feel like I could be doing more. But burn out is real.
I’ve been rescind about the Pre-ICPC "Dumping" Era in California and Arizona, am an interested to know if anyone else has had experience with this time period? Have you had to research ancestors who were affected by the wild of foster care before the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children?
Interesting! Let me think on it. That’s a good one. A topic I’d love to learn more about.
Planning out the next few months of content today! If you could pick one topic for me to break down in-depth, what would it be? Even if it’s a total curveball, I’d love to hear it. Drop your requests below.👇

A noir-toned background image of a rainy city skyscape, birds flying with a backdrop of smeared neon lights, with a detective standing on a rooftop in long coat and hat with one arm raised. Right-justified text on the image reads "open call for novellas, opens: 4.01.26, closes: 4.30.26." The Ruadán Books logo is centered above the text.
We're opening to novella manuscripts on 4/1/26! We're looking for dark thrillers, crime noir, & dark speculative fiction—if you've got a complete novella (25k-40k words) that fits, we want to hear from you.

As some friends have brought to my attention, the TCM channel is airing the 1944 movie "GASLIGHT" starring Ingrid Bergman, running alongside the State of the Union drivel.
Well played, TCM!
I am going to be watching the TCM channel to give them the ratings instead, and I hope you'll do the same! 😁
