9 months after my first painted mini of the year, here's the second - an old Fire Dragon from Warp Miniatures.
It's been fun painting it up as I've not painted a dragon for 8 years, and this chap has probably been in my queue for a bit longer than that.

Thanos isn't quite as big of a Big Bad for MCP as I thought - at least not when he's stood next to Dormammu!
Well, the hobby restart is a little slower than I'd have liked - two weekends worth of Crisis Protocol building, with most of the Sinister Six, Angel & Archangel then the Mad Titan's throne escaping their boxes.
Painting minis isn't something that has been happening recently here - my focus has been on a few other things. Such as getting on the property ladder!
Which is all very exciting and means I have some 1:1 scale painting to do in the near future...
Very nice! I think I'd need a whole wall of those to cover my collections from other brands π
Order has been applied to the chaos that was the P3 Master Set layout. Thankfully there was enough spare trays in the box to work things out!
#nerdlings #warhammercommunity
I went into the P3 paint kickstarter only really wanting to try out one or two, to see how they compared to the old ones (and to just get more Coal Black!)
So naturally the main set has arrived in full.

The latest trio from Dave Taylor's The Art Of... series landed - Roman Lappat, Sam Lenz and Josua Lai added to the art shelf :)
Man-Thing from Marvel Crisis Protocol (who is definitely not Swamp Thing from DC) is the first finished mini from the new office, and the first finished mini since October - it's good to be back!
#nerdlings #paintingprotocol
Started splashing around paint for the first time since October - Man-Thing felt like a great project to get me going again.

Catching up on last night's Smackdown is apparently much better than Cat TV
A narrow four shelf bookcase filled with Hardback Siege of Terra books, along with Limited Edition books from Dan Abnett, Jude Reid and Robert Rath.
One of my biggest complaints at home is a lack of shelf space - books are double stacked and piled on top of full bookcases already.
We rescued a small one and it's just right for the Siege series and for my small Black Library Ltd Ed stash to escape their boxes π #nerdlings #warhammercommunity
The painting desk in its new home
The Old office, cleaned out.
The old office is now a bathroom.
The fancy new bathroom mirror with excessive features, such as Bluetooth speakers.
My painting desk is back!
I've not painted since October thanks to my office being turned into a bathroom (and mojo vanishing) but those projects are finished so painting can start again π

The forges of Nuln must have been working at full capacity to get the Made to Order War Wagon out the door so quickly!
#warhammercommunity #nerdlings #theoldworld
The second half of my Empire army arrived, so now I have enough rewards of odd minis to keep me on track while building all of the State Troops.
This completes my 2k list (and a bit more) which means the War Wagon that got ordered today isn't quite squeezing in...

Eowyn knocked out the Internet on Friday morning, so it's been a semi productive weekend building Handgunners (that's all 30 now!) waiting for the Internet to be alive again.

Things I have enjoyed about building my first The Old World Unit:
Most models had an equivalent amount of components to MCP Starlord's head, nostalgia and 3 page instructions.
Things I did not enjoy:
Every arm with a flat join somehow needing gap filling.

That's why I should have started with the infantry! Now I've just got the steam tank left as a nice big prize at the end unless I get tempted by a Gryphon.
It's almost certainly a mistake to have started building my Empire army with the captains rather than the 60 infantry in the Battalion box and use these chaps as a motivation reward, but at least the building phase has begun.

Not much hobby going on towards the end of last year. My hobby room is currently becoming a bathroom so I've been a bit in limbo. However - #newyearnewarmy - it's time to adventure into the Empire for TOW. One tube of glue equalling 73 bases is a thrilling start #warhammercommunity
Wind and Truth arrived just in time for what appears to be a heckin wimdy weekend. Absolutely perfect for hiding and doing nothing.
Mission avoid the Black Friday sales failed successfully.
Wanted a Force FX lightsaber for a long time, and the Sabine Wren one came up at a "more sensible than RRP" price π

No paint brushes got picked up today, but a couple of Crisis Protocol boxes got built (it is a *pain* to get Silver Sable in focus in the same shot as Sunspot).

Haven't done a blue reshare thing yet - and now to not pick all Necrons...
