Integrity is expensive
Happy Easter
We all have some things to be grateful for #gratitude
A new study of more than 140K infants shows that Covid vaccination in pregnancy cuts the baby's hospitalization risk by about 50% in first 2 months. Babies can't get vaccinated until 6 months; protecting mom protects the baby.
In a world where many doubt their own strength, the little honeybee proves them wrong every day. It doesn't wait to be big or importantβit simply does its work, quietly, consistently, and purposefully. And in doing so, it sustains life itself. Never underestimate the impact of small actions.
Finished mine on Tuesday. π₯³
Also have my list of revisions topics - armed and ready.
Plus names of students I am going to check up on to ensure they have filled specific gaps I have identified.
Canβt find anything to disagree witg here.
Very informative.
Now I will have a better answer when students query this.
Is it ok for me to get a copy too? My department looked at algebra tiles in our curriculum meeting last week, so it would supplement our discussion really well.

Daily Mail Headline: Pupils' drawings could be blasphemous under Islamic law, Labour councils tell schools - while music and dance classes may go against the teachings of Islam
Oh boy! What a headline...
Ask yourself:
"What am I being asked to believe?"
"Who am I being told to blame?"
Take a few seconds to imagine what the Daily Mail (And Telegraph, GB News and Express) WANT you to think is going on.
Let's see what's ACTUALLY happening...π§΅

Since mid December Iβve been ill FOUR times. Immune system fail.

My parents used to have a German Shepherd called Ethel. Similar vibes.
I couldnβt help tittering at your alarm configuration, until I realised that to a casual observer mine probably looks weirder.
An important reminder
@loualltheslaps.bsky.social I only followed you because my late uncle was called Lou Takkos and he was a great guy. I miss him.
Also, I like cats. π
Wow, that sky π€©
1. Accept teaching could take up 24/7 if you Let it. There will always be something else we could do. Decide you want to change. 2. Set your working time boundaries and stick to them 90% of the time. Choose when you'll get in, leave and if you'll take work home. Change these if you life circumstances change. 3. Subscribe to at Least one resource site $ tweak things to fit. They'll save you hours and prompt your thinking when your brain is tired. 4. Split your To Do List into Now, This Week, If I have time. Prioritise anything that directly impacts teaching and learning in your classroom and that management are asking for. 5. Mark with your class as much as possible and when circulating in lessons. Scan it afterwards and train them to ask for help if they cant see where they went wrong. Live feedback is far more powerful than written and I use it as part of my plenary as this way even those who havent finished get the learning.
6. Practice self care. Prioritise eating, drinking and visiting the bathroom. Walk at Lunchtime and make appointments for yourself. Take sick days. Self care is CPD it makes you a more resilient and effective teacher. 7. Plan your week to fit your life. If you take your kids swimming on a Wednesday dont plan a heavy marking lesson that days. Make Mondays routine (spelling, next page of maths etc) so you dont need to spend Sunday prepping. 8. Dont compete or compare yourself to other teachers. We're all different and have varied strengths and weaknesses. 9. Find your teacher tribe. Chat, vent, finish the science experiment Haribos, share resources and planning. Teaching is a team sport, it's very lonely it you fly solo. 10.If your school doesnt fit your life change schools. Find one that doesnt email after hours and sticks to the working time agreement. All schools vary some are toxic and others know we're human beings. Choose the latter ones.
β° TIME TO CHECK YOUR BOUNDARIES β°
Half term or just plodding on itβs time for some boundaries spring cleaning. Are they working 90% of the time?
Whatβs working? What needs to change as the days get longer & activities change?
Some suggestions in the photos that I found useful in primary π
A visual demonstration of how counting to "100" in base four works.
It's great fun to pause at 33 and ask "what comes next?"

Love this.
Screenshot of Tommy Ten Names, claiming he's afraid and fleeing the UK.
Just checking, it's now ok to flee your homeland, because you're afraid for your safety, and seek refuge in another Country?
Glad we've cleared that up. Let's hear no more about immigration and refugees then.

I am convinced there is no such thing as talent, at least not in the way the word is commonly used. What there is though, is a thing you love doing so much that you do it over and over and over again, until you are really damn good at it. and if you are lucky, you discover it early on
I concur!

I just came to say I loved that game, havenβt played it since the 90βs!! π
The distance from 0 to first blue is the same as the distance from second blue to 99, therefore they sum to 99.
Same goes for the two other pairs.
