Don’t know whether to laugh or cry at how bad the SDP ads have been recently. You’re my woke hockey show what do you mean you’re advertising nicotine products, meat, trucks, and gambling!!!!!! So morally corrupt

JK Rowling has openly said she uses the profits of Harry Potter to fund anti-trans hatred.

If you support that effort by watching the TV show, let alone publicly declaring you're doing so, you're no friend of mine

There's a specific tone of cheer when a guy and his bros realize a complicated low-stakes scheme is going to work. It's the sound of dudes rocking and it's the most beautiful sound in the world.

This is your reminder that if you are a class member and have NOT yet filed a claim in Anthropic v. Bartz, the AI copyright lawsuit, you have 9 days to do so.

‘Their Power Feels Like Mine’: A Dog Sled Racer Says Goodbye To Her Pack

It's hard to think about retiring from racing, because mushing is, and will always be, a huge part of my life. So I took a journey with my older dogs, who have retired themselves. They've taught me so much over the years; now, they're teaching me to live with change.

Oh the ones during the Olympics about investing in Canadian trades were good. I will say the little O Canada jingle they have is very very well done

Okay good because I can’t deal with having to buy new ones 😂

I’ve got the VPN on again so I’m getting Canadian YouTube ads and it’s such a funny insight into what’s going on in a different place. You guys are doing assault weapon buy back? Your google ads are in French? (I presume I’m set to a Quebec IP lmao)

I’m happy and proud of the people in these towns who are working hard to make them attractive to investment, which means more people like me can stay close to home and not have to live in poverty, but it feels impossible when the North/South divide is still so incredibly stark

‘When I leave, part of me stays’: why Scarborough’s youth won’t turn their backs on the seaside town they love Hemmed in by the sea and poor transport links, many young people from the Yorkshire town feel trapped, but there is also a pride in the area

Anyway here’s the article www.theguardian.com/environment/...

I spent almost a year unemployed, applying to jobs all over the place, and I got so lucky to land my job in Oxford because it really set me up for working in the South - and it opened my eyes to the reality that being in the North, moving home, would mean significantly lowering my earning power

Anyway I moved away from the North East for work 8 years ago, and even before that, I couldn’t find work near my hometown. I went to university 40 minutes away in Sunderland, and worked for a year in Newcastle. 1hr20m train twice a day, 5 days a week 💀 for an internship that barely paid minimum wage

There’s a Guardian article about Scarborough that I’m reading and it’s making me cry, but also laugh, because Scarborough and Whitby are the nice places my family went for day trips, because the seaside town I grew up (an hour south) is so shit 😂
