To live in this world
you must be able
to do three things:
to love what is mortal;
to hold it
against your bones knowing
your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
to let it go.

A white background with a vertical row of colourful hearts in red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, purple and pink. Next to each heart are handwritten affirmations in black text about uncertainty being a space to grow, there being room for both fear and courage, breathing helping bring steadiness, this moment being enough, being more than fears, the nervous system learning, and thoughts being visitors. The tone feels warm, reassuring and supportive. Picture by @anxiety.positive
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response.” Viktor E. Frankl
There’s lots of pressure that can build quickly. A breath, a pause, a moment can help create a bit of space.
You are enough.

There's a difference between functional grief, avoidant grief & unprocessed grief:
Functional grief: action is part of processing
Avoidant grief: action is a way to avoid processing
Unprocessed grief: grief has been postponed & stored. It will eventually demand attention
#grief #griefsupport
Unprocessed grief is grief that hasn’t been metabolized by the nervous system. It stays in the body & psyche often leaking out over time.
It's a person who truly believes they’re fine but their body, relationships,or mental health tell a different story.

Oh, that makes so much sense. Your body learned early that tears weren’t safe. The fact that you’re able to meet those parts now with tenderness is already a kind of healing. Go slowly, stay gentle safety is the doorway, not force. You’re not broken… you’re protecting. 💞🪷
A lot of people equate grief with crying, sadness, collapse, depression, or dramatic loss. So if they’re functioning, productive, and fine, they assume grief isn’t present. There's such a thing as unprocessed grief.

The weight of an unsaid goodbye is a heavy thing to carry.
Perhaps peace doesn't come from finding the perfect ending, but from realizing that love isn't contained in a final scene.
If you’re sitting with the ache of an unfinished story today, know that you aren't alone. ❤
#Tobehuman is to live in that unfinished space...always becoming, falling short of our own ideals, trying to repair what we didn’t mean to break.
Maybe that’s what makes us sacred: our capacity to return,to soften,to try again. While knowing we're breakable,we're unfinished, we're #fragile

Grief must be externalized. Our pain and sadness can be fully realized only when we release them.

An invitation for a free online intro grief circle I'm holding this Sunday from 6-7:15pm CET time

A description of who this circle is for
This Sunday from 6-7:15 pm CET I’m holding an ONLINE Intro Grief Circle as a gentle entry point into the 8-Month Grief Journey offering I've created.
Grief is often carried quietly, rushed, or minimized. It deserves a space where it can be met with presence, not pressure. 💜

Flow requires a kind of surrender: surrendering control...surrendering perfection...surrendering the need to look competent while doing it.

Sending a little extra light to anyone navigating the "last act of love" today. You aren’t alone in the shadows. 🕯️ #grief

Life is not disposable. Love exists everywhere, and we’re meant to respond when it calls.

This video of a swan trying to revive his mate…touched me to the core. It reminded me that grief isn’t only human. Devotion isn’t only human. The web of life is alive with bonds we barely understand. May we treat it all with more reverence and respect.
