The Ooze is the nastiest villain around. He's gloppy, oily, and loves to pour hot ooze on his enemies. No wonder he's Marco's favorite supervillain! That is, until he isn't just a character in a comic...

Stine's love for comics shines again with a hunt for a comic book that has mysterious powers.

It's Halloween! Time for scares and creepy dares! Meg is certainly ready, at least until she meets Bim from the planet Weirdo. The little guy is cute unless you make him unhappy... and you don't want him unhappy.

This double-length tale provides a series harrowing and horrifying adventures!

Jessica and Ryan love tricks, but their new two-headed coin pulls a nasty trick on them when it sends them to a kingdom with a headless prince!

A fun time travel romp that hearkens back to the classic tale A Night in Terror Tower.

Sam and his friend Lexi have taken jobs at the new hamster pet shop in town. What’s cuter than that? But these hamsters are acting strangely... dangerously.

The HorrorLand series ramps up in its second arc! I’m genuinely curious to see how it all ties together.

YA Graphic novel by Eugene Yelchin (we know he's a great writer + artist, but did you know he's the guy behind the polar bear Coca Cola ad??) Image is gray scene of building in Leningrad. A m/f couple stands with their backs to us, holding hands. Drab color scheme interrupted by woman's pink coat and boots, then striped scarf around young man's neck.

THE GENIUS UNDER THE TABLE by Eugene Yelchin is one of my favorite books, and so I wasn't surprised to be engrossed + moved by his new YA graphic novel, especially as a cold war kid myself. (Oh, yeah, and everything hits differently rn.) 📚👍 #booksky

The mall in Susan's new town is full of cool shops, but the creepy old store gets her attention. There's something about that dollhouse in the corner...

A taut spooky story that doesn't waste a second and remains focused on the action!

The cover of the Black romantasy novella To Catch A Hunter. A real fantasy sword, a broad type blade, sits on a wine and gold background with lighter lines like a topographical map. The title is in gold and the author is S. A. Macklin.

I would love to make some sales on my debut self published novella. It's a romantasy that takes place in a world like the Monster Hunter games.

The perfect sleepover turns into a cheesy nightmare when Sidney's order from the mysterious new pizza place develops a mind of its own. And it won't sit by and let itself be eaten when there are so many delicious humans around.

A fun series of events on one wild night with twists and turns galore.

Promo graphic with a photo of a pot of purple crocuses wrapped in burlap and twine in front of a frosted window with a white cup and saucer in front of it, a purple macaroon perched on the edge, with an open book to the side on a wood table. The text, in purple on the left side reads: "'Kitty is a breath of fresh air, and her story is a good book to curl up with on a rainy afternoon while waiting for spring to arrive.' ~Long and Short Book Reviews on *Most Truly*" (the book is first in the Love at Pemberley series by Reina M. Charlie's the biggest horror fan around. He's read more horror books than any other kid at school! But when the new librarian brings in her own horror books for kids to read, he gets way more horror than he bargained for.

A fun monster mash-up!

Lauren has had a rough time since her dad was killed in the woods and her best friend started caring more about boys than her. Then the horrible visions begin when two more girls are brutally killed.

This supernatural thriller reckons with a small town's unusual run of prosperity.

Wrote seven novellas of a planned twelve-book series! Along with the three novellas from 2023-2024, a choose-your-own adventure, and the upcoming two final novellas and short story anthology, oh and a very busy day job, it's been quite the year.

You can't keep a good dancin' bones down. So when Boogie Bones gets a chance to enter the local dance content, he rattles his ribs and shimmies his shin bones to dancing glory!

A real hoot! Loredo's writing and Hawkes's illustrations make this friendly bones tale one to remember.

In THE THIRTEEN DOORS OF BLACK HOUSE by @llavoieauthor.bsky.social, during Maya's family vacation at the creepy mansion where her favorite author once lived, a supernatural mystery is unleashed straight from the pages of the author's books. Fast-paced & fantastic spooky read. #MGLit #TLSky

The creepy owner of the new Scareville store likes to call himself The Curator, and he seems especially interested in scaring kids with a mysterious series of scary books.

The proceedings build slowly but the villain's revelations make for a brain twisty good time.

Tina, Eve, and Lacey used to be BFFs, but they've started to drift apart. Tina hopes her sixteenth birthday sleepover and some dark magic can bring them together again.

This is a wild YA ride. What feels like a classic demon possession turns into something else entirely.

Few humans remain to fight off the vampire horde that has descended upon the world. And no one is more eager to take out the blood suckers than Yūichirō.

I found the first volume a little lacking due to slowly introducing the characters, but perhaps later entries pick up the pace!

Horrid Henry has no chance in a household he must share with the snooty Perfect Peter. So if he must be horrid, why not go all out?

While probably meant to be cautionary tales for children, Horrid Henry is such a fun little dirtbag that I found all the stories be just plain amusing!

The Queen wasn't always so wicked and cruel, but a life of tragedy leads her to become the very thing she always hated.

This first entry in the Disney series of villain explorations is truly a tragic backstory. It gives great context for the movie we've all come to know so well.
