I love Rumi’s quote “somewhere beyond right and wrong there is a garden, I will meet you there.” It’s a powerful reminder that even in the midst of intense emotions, we have the capacity to transcend division and connect on a deeper level by choosing to listen with empathy❤️😊🙏🏾

Usually it annoys me in all honesty. When it's a charity you support feels different. And I think dementia is so prevalent very emotive. The lady said she was having a good response.

Fundraiser with ARUK message on top.

Fundraiser knocked on my door today for @alzheimersresearchuk.org Despite current controversies and media attention around a recently published Cochrane review, research remains vitally important. Let's just say this young woman didn't quite expect the conversation we had!

Emma Shorter was told people who don’t recover from behavioral treatment for #MECFS have made the illness their personality. She was told not to meet other patients and to trust the therapist over her own body. She went from walking 4 mins a day to needing a wheelchair.

Trying to do my Hungarian homework.

It's a fascinating language, and while it's not easy, Czech was definitely harder (no kidding!). I'm enjoying it and I want to continue.

But it's a lovely day out there, I saw a goldfinch earlier, and can I concentrate?! 🤦‍♀️

Take the wrong lesson from a movie:

La La Land: Artists, musicians, actors – work hard and all your dreams will come true!

Still watching The Pitt.

Season 2 features a chap who is rationing his insulin, and not testing his blood glucose because he can't afford the insulin or the testing strips.

His insurance came from his employer, and he lost his job.

It is a ridiculous system you folks have in the US. Sorry, folks.

Robby is tired, cynical, clearly burned out to a crisp. The character arc from the optimistic young chap in ER to this character is essentially THE journey of a lot of people his age working in healthcare.

I see you, brother. I see you.

She's okay. Sad. Glad funeral was fitting. A weight lifted. Some guilt. Also relief. Thinking about herself for first time in ages. A new chapter in life. Thanks for asking Jen. X

Ageing could prime women for autoimmune disorders Study of gene expression also finds age-related increases in men’s vulnerability to certain cancers.
