I think you’re great, Zack. But on this you are being naive. Starmer is PM and has to maintain good relations with the US. I’m sure he is as outraged as you are, but he cannot show it. And you know this. Cheap shot, as bad as Badenoch. Please do better.

These children were the lucky ones. The others were being tortured by FLOTUS trying to read a book

Am assuming that the only cell which cannot be completed is a right-angled equilateral?

@linksysofficial.bsky.social I emailed you a while ago about a Linksys node which will not mesh. I have not even received an acknowledgment of my email enquiry. Please can someone contact me urgently about this?

I’d break the number down into 320 and 40. Divide both by eight and then add the answers.

I started doing the 6,7 thing with my hands and now all my students think it’s the least cool thing ever. Problem solved.

I should be posting this anonymously, but I’ve never got this across very well. Thank you for yet again showing that the simplest explanation is often best. Seems obvious now 😬

Well, how do you think the two squares felt about being called “different”? 😔

I take the view that I paid £180 for Strictly and The Celebrity Traitors. Everything else including the Proms, Radio 4 (which educates me every day about something) BBC Bitesize (resources for my maths students) is free. The list is huge. The BBC is fabulous value for money.

Films: We need to hack a keycard, obtained by seducing one of the guards. We then need to drop in from the skylight after jumping from a plane, and dodge all of the lasers and traps, carefully switching the jewels for fakes that weigh the same to avoid tripping the alarm.

With all due respect, I think we need this distraction for the government right now.

Mike Huckabee: US ambassador to Israel says UK would have lost WW2 with Starmer as leader Mike Huckabee's comments come after the UK prime minister condemned Israel's Gaza City military takeover plan.

Yes, because English was imposed as the official language in all of Germany in 1945. What a tool.

#MathsToday Strong use of contextual Maths in a TV show: A guy in Love Island describes two women as both being "an 8/10", then when the girl he is coupled up with expresses annoyance at this, he replies
"8/10... that's like 80%... which is good" 😆

60 = $45
60/3 =20
$45/3 =$15.00

I’m looking for a fun game for GCSE foundation level students to play during the least week of term. Something involving percentages, decimals and fractions would be brilliant. Would rather was a paper based exercise as already have a Quizziz set up. Murder mystery or something like that? Thanks x

Is he really going to get confirmed by the Senate? Surely RFK Jr is so batshit crazy even the Senators’ fear of Trump shouldn’t prevent them from kicking the nomination into touch.

Thank you. Sometimes the best methods come from non-teachers. I learn something new from my students every year.

And thank you 🙏

Yeah. I’ve tried that. I’m just looking for a ‘penny dropping’ moment for them. I just can’t seem to find one.

I teach maths from GCSE foundation to Further Maths A level in an FE college. I teach mainly to a vocational course (Engineering, Electrical Installation etc). The one thing even the brightest of my students struggle to grasp is rearranging equations. Any wonderful ideas?
