We need more independence from all that crap anyways π¬.

Less meat, smarter planting (with insects and lake/ground water in mind) ...
I really should read more up on it π€. I just have a basic knowledge. Farming has so many global components too.
Yeah I like the idea of the Cold Sophie π
Glad your babies π± survived. What did you plant?

and who wouldn't like a big invertebrate π?
I think people would like them in one colour. One colour can be quite decorative too π€·π»
And I always liked those anatomical models in block colours.
Bala shark βΊοΈ (I forgot too)
Thanks π. It's typical for me ... getting better now ;)
big subject for this space here π
We deffinitly have the solutions and already produce enough food (food waste) ... and do we need strawberries in winter? ... Working smart with the seasons would need less fertiliser too.
Interesting giant subject.
We probably will always need some artifical fertiliser :/ ... But we are using way too much. Just how we plant would change so much π.
Like you said - old knowledge and how plants can keep each other healthy.
"Pflanze nie vor der Kalten Sophie"
Don't plant before the Cold Sophie has passed (15. May) π
We had a view -1C nights but also not cold enough for frost damages.

Drawing of a Chinese tiger beetle, a shiny, metallic blue, green and red beetle with giant jaws.
A close-up of the drawing, focusing mainly on the beetle's head and furry foreleg.
I'm not a job hunter, but still trying to grow my audience of bug fans!

Probably a good insect plant too π€ ... I have to look that up.
I used the autumn leaves for mulch π.
Hm I don't think we have a rhyme with trees.
"Mai-Regen bringt Segen" ... the most famous weather saying is about the dormouse π€ ...
And I still look when the ice saints have past (frost rule).
Ha - I'm sure the slugs do little team meetings to plan against you ;) .
The dryness is really worrying :( .
But I'm happy that you have hedgehogs!
Oh I tried phacelia ages ago to give my little spot a boost.
Someone here uses besides nettles also cabbage and rhubarb for fertiliser tea π€
Sorry that I wasn't very active here the last weeks ... The black dog was sitting on my art supplies ;) .
Here is one of my first #SundayFishSketch -es from years ago π
Yes with nettles. No comfreys here and I had never luck with them π₯².
Water and nutritions are always an issue.
I think clover and cabbage are nutritional too π€.
I put autumn leaves and cardboard at the bottom of the veggie plot π€·π»
You really always are on the war path with your slugs π
Sounds like a 5-star menu for a tortoise π₯°
