with DEIA jobs being shut down, so many disabled people will have trouble working the little bit they may be able to. So, if a disabled person asks for money on the internet, give it to them.
Three mushrooms growing out of the side of a moss and lichen covered stump
I really love that this looks like the two bigger #fungifriends are protecting the smaller one.
This captures the feelings of what it’s like having a solid support system. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Just do some shit.
Would anyone here in the DC area know of local groups or activism resources for an individual to connect into without having any Meta platform? They are particularly affected by housing and food, as well as trans rights, being threatened. Sorry if this isn’t super specific enough
I've said it before and I'll say it again: If disabled people aren't included in your revolution, it's not a true revolution.
Incredible important resource!!
Two russula mushrooms are pictured and the larger one has a fir cone resting on top of their cap. You can see the gills of the larger mushroom and the very light pink color of both mushroom caps.
If you need a reminder of hope, remember that #fungifriends eat the dead and decaying material on the forest floor. Eventually the good-for-nothing assholes will be eaten too 🙃
Stay strong, y’all. We can do this 💪
Alright all - I'm stepping away for this evening. I'll be back in later tonight to see if there's any more updates.
Stay safe, if you're trans, stay with us, we are not giving up.
And most of all... these EOs are not law, they are not passed by congress, do NOT comply.
On day one Trump's EO said we were harmful to kids. On day two, it said we were dishonorable and disloyal. On day three, it said we were unAmerican.
Transgender people have been a part of this country for centuries.
We are not going anywhere.
Do not comply with these EOs, they are not law.
If you’re a straight, cis person who has ever posted some version of a rainbow with “you’re safe with me” or similar, it’s time to back up the words with action— contact your reps and ask them what they’re going to do to protect trans people from this administration, particularly trans kids.
Just renewed my drivers license for RealID. I advise every transgender person, just as I did with passports, to not wait to renew your ID. Get that done now - many states let you do it online, schedule appointments, etc.
Don't get caught flat footed if/when Trump turns RealID against us.
Start small. Do something.
Join a buy nothing group. Wear a mask. Repost and share resources. Compile links and resources for your community (local or online). Get trained and carry Naxolone. Print and distribute red cards (www.ilrc.org/red-cards-ta... ) and zines (May I suggest: itsgoingdown.org/dont-just-do...)
Say hi to your neighbors. Learn their names. Learn three local plants and their edibility or medicinal uses. Acquire some seeds and learn to grow them. Share your repair/DIY/survival/adulting skills with others. Contribute to food justice mutual aid projects and community fridges.
Trans healthcare/ rights:
Find your state or local trans organization. Mine has a mutual aid emergency fund to help folks escape and access healthcare as well as tons of resources for support and activism.

Wanting to tap into existing mutual aid networks and activist groups but don’t know where to start? Find your local chapter of Food Not Bombs and go from there. I went thru my chapters follow list and connecting with a lot of great orgs:)
