Unfortunately we do love:

→ showing my friends how to post aesthetic IG stories
→ saving 500 trending audios I'm never going to use
→ my cat appearing on zoom calls
→ clients telling me they "love my work"
→ fun and creative brand guidelines
→ convincing myself "doomscrolling" is research for work

You want to be helpful. Responsive. “On it.”
But being always on is quietly exhausting - and it’s not sustainable.

You’re allowed to:
⏸️ Let a message sit for a while before reading it or responding
to it.
⏸️ Finish the thing you’re doing first. Prioritise as you go.
⏸️ Say, “I’ll get back to you this afternoon / tomorrow /
next week.”

😮‍💨 Not every message needs an instant reply. You’re allowed to pause. To finish what you’re doing. To not be “on it” every second of the day.

Slower replies can make space for better thinking and less stress.

Take a little breathing room today. 💛

Stress Awareness Month
You don’t have to scare people into action or be the driver of their anxiety. Not a nice position to be in.

Instead of:
❌ “Act now!”
❌ “Don’t miss out!”
❌ “Time is running out!”

Try:
✅ “We’re here when you’re ready.”
✅ “Support us in the way that works for you.”
✅ “This might help – take a look.”

✍️ Comms can be powerful without being pushy. And if your audience already feels overwhelmed - with life, money, work, the news - pressure-heavy language can make things worse.

Calm copy still converts, and it builds trust, which is what matters long-term. 💛

Image of a lit candle and plant on a wooden shelf. The text Stress Awareness Month and The 3C rule precede these tips: Clear - Say what you mean, simply. Skip any jargon and ambiguity. Ask the actual question - short as possible.

Concise – Cut the fluff.
People don’t need to read 12 paragraphs. A shorter email is often a more thoughtful one.

Considerate – Add warmth, even in a rush. A quick “no rush” or “happy Friday!” might sound small — but it makes your message more human.

Confusing emails don’t just waste time - they are sneaky little stress-creators.

One of our favourite tricks to take the tension out of your inbox is The 3C Rule. Clearer communication = less stress all round.
