In his mind that’s what that phrase means, but that’s not its original meaning.

Shows a fermentation bucket with all of the ingredients listed in the post

I foraged some rose hips & magnolia “tulip tree” blossoms, then harvested a bunch of freesias, a couple roses, and a few Catalina currant leaves from the garden to make champagne 🥂

Muted this account, because wow this is not a productive conversation.

I don’t understand how someone discussing why they regret a choice is any kind of evidence regarding why they made the choice to begin with. Someone saying they now regret voting for Trump because grocery prices rose doesn’t change the fact they voted for him bc they thought he’d lower them.

Ok the pressure from the DNC was reported, just as the lost votes for Israeli support was, but you’re allowed to believe whatever you want.

Highly relatable

As far as her stance on trans issues, if IIRC, it had to do with her largely being silent and back tracking on some of the issues right before the election. I seem to recall there was pressure from the DNC to throw trans people under the bus, similar to what Gavin Newsom was told to do.

DNC “Autopsy” Finds Kamala Harris’s Silence on Gaza Genocide Cost Her Votes The refusal to condemn Israel’s genocide of Palestinians resulted in a “net-negative” of voters’ support, sources said.

There has been analusis of why she lost, and thay was one of the main factors. Not sure what your screenshot is relevant for. truthout.org/articles/dnc...

Interesting, I’ve seen companion planting work really well, anecdotally and there seem to be a lot of resources discussing the science if why it works 🤔

One big glass jar of magnolia syrup next to a smaller jar of pickled magnolias, both a vibrant pink-red color

One big glass jar of magnolia syrup next to a smaller jar of pickled magnolias, both a vibrant pink-red color

Magnolia blossoms are one of my favorite early Spring things to forage! I picked a few blossoms from each tree to make a syrup & pickled magnolias - so yummy & taste like pickled ginger!

I think the earlier-blooming pink, “tulip tree” magnolias have a better flavor than the white 🌸

That’s really interesting your relative was against her for being pro-trans, given one of the biggest criticisms against her was her willingness to throw trans people under the bus, though the largest of course was her handling of Gaza as a topic.

I’m not a fan of hers and I also think framing it as the VP being responsible is strange, as in something I’ve not seen before.

I’m in a lot of political circles and I don’t know a single person who thought she was a great candidate and was excited to vote for her. Like, not one. I do, however, know a few people who said they were boycotting the election because they disliked her stances so much.

What Happened to the SPLC—and Me Union breaking, Gaza, and fear of MAGA turned the SPLC into an organization that abandoned its own civil rights principles.

New: I wrote about how the SPLC let union breaking and fear of MAGA drive it away from its own civil rights principles.

After I spoke up about Gaza, the SPLC disciplined me and terminated my employment—leading to a discrimination settlement: substack.com/home/post/p-...

Interesting! I thought the dominant feminist stance for the past couple decades has been “sex work is work” and trying to decriminalize it. Perhaps it’s just my particular bubble 🤷

A great reminder to never put batteries or electronics in the trash! 😅

Went to the dump & saw this truck smoking after being consumed in flames. An employee who said it was the result of a lithium battery in the trash. Can’t use water to put it out 😯 it had been burning for two days already 🫠

The House voted 357 - 65 to block the release of Congressional sexual misconduct reports.

182 Democrats & 175 Republicans voted to shield their misconduct from the public.

They want the Epstein files released but not the files on themselves released.

The entire system must go!
